Welcome Parents,
We are a Christian Homeschooling group located in Islandia, Long Island, NY. Our group holds mother's encouragement meetings, as well as, children's co-op's and field trips. Field trips include plays, fire safety, nature/science programs, bowling, Thanksgiving in the Park and more...

The children meet for Co-op every other Friday from 1:30 -3:30. During Co-op, the children perform public speaking presentations, enjoy play time and do nature activities.

September: "A Funny Story, a Joke" (A Speech to Entertain)
October: "How to..." (A Speech to Demonstrate)
November: "Give Thanks"
December: Christmas Program
January: "My Favorite New Toy" (A Visual Aid Speech - Show and Tell)
February: "All About..." (Someone in History or a Holiday - A Speech to Inform)
March: "Mom, Can I Please Get.....?" (A Speech to Persuade)
April: "A Memorized Bible Passage"
May: "My Favorite Poem"
Our nature studies focus on "The Life of the Forest." We explore seeds, tree's, leaves, wood & paper, forest fires, and recycling. Nature journaling and related crafts enhance our study of God's creation.
Currently, most of our children are in K-8th grade.

Mother's meetings are scheduled for one Monday, each month, at 7:30 pm. We've just begun a book study of A Charlotte Mason Companion by Karen Andreola. Our spiritual focus, for this year, is strengthening our marriages by being our husbands helpmeets. We want to love our husbands and make them our priority. Someday, our children will graduate. We desire to end up with happy marriages that bring honor to the Lord.
