This group has been created to support the operation of "The Pot Hole Net" and other HF operations of the Ottawa Valley Mobile Radio Club (OVMRC). Every radio amateur with a valid callsign can request admission to this Yahoo group.
The "Pot Hole Net" on 3.760 MHz was started in May 1959 by Mike Larson, K5IJV/VE3, then President of the OVMRC, as the Official Club Net of the Ottawa Valley Mobile Radio Club (OVMRC).
A call for the "Pot Hole Net" is made every Saturday morning at 10:00 AM local time (7.095 MHz, LSB) and Sunday morning at 10:00 AM (3.760 MHz, LSB) from the first weekend following Labour Day Weekend to the last weekend in June. The Net is open to every radio amateur licensed to operate in the HF bands.
