Julio Balmaceda workshops in Seattle, July 10-12

Julio Balmaceda is a highly respected teacher in Buenos Aires. He is
among the teachers of the 'milongueros' (social tango dancers.) Julio
studied tango from his father, the legendary Miguel Balmaceda, who
taught many famous tango dancers. Since 1991, Julio has taught tango
at the most prestigious tango salons in Buenos Aires: Canning, Grisel,
El Parakultural, Almagro, and La Galeria del tango.

Julio’s classes are clear, fun, informative, well thought out, and
well presented. As an instructor, he is warm, down to earth, and
funny. As a dancer, his steps, figures and posture can be
characterized by 'elegant, gentle, and round.' He transmits precision
and beauty in all of his movements. As a performer, he has performed
with the famous Orchestra COLOR TANGO. In 1998, he joined the cast of
the famous Broadway tango show FOREVER TANGO.

(Note: due to Corina de la Rosa's pregnancy, she will not be
accompanying Julio on this trip.)
