Exactly what I was thinking.  I have seen them sell for $100 each out of
package.  If she sells those 3 extras on Ebay she could easily get $300
back.  Which means she got Baby Dancing Butterflies, Baby Up Up and Away and
Tux N Tails all MIP for $100 plus the other 7 ponies.  So it ends up not
beinging that bad of a deal.

Gee, it must be nice to have that sort of $$$ to blow.  But the winner of the

*returns after a weary hour of struggling with her scanner* (it couldn't find
the code to let it magicmatch, so I embarked on a mission).  I reinstalled my
picture editing software twice, vistascan I think three or four times, and now I
believe I have five different versions of Acrobat on my computer ^_^;;;;;;.
Hey, except for the fact that it won't let me change the default scanning size
to the size of my scanner window, everything seems to be working ^_~.  So much
for trying to free up some space on my C:/ drive!

okay, that's as off topic and I'm going to go, I promise...just had to let off a
little steam *G*.

Does anybody have Sosoft Crumpet?  I simply adore her...I think she's one of the
prettiest ponies :)!  I was just rearranging the top shelf of the pony case (all
the flutters got put back against the wall, except for Hollywood ^_~...she's
overthrown Rosedust, aiieee!), and Crumpet is also in the prestigious position
of top shelf.

I'm still searching for a bad condition Summerwing Glow...need not have wings,
hair, or symbol, as long as her plastic is still good and intact ^_^.

We are the Sweet Celebrations Loving Family - how can that be?  Well, Jeanne
(Mom) and Lauren (oldest daughter) have been picking up ponies ever since Lauren
was born 10 years ago.  About a year and a half ago, some neighbors moved away
and gave us their collection of MLP bringing our total to somewhere around
150... and so, with the collection starting to get big, it would be a good idea
to find out every ponies real name.  So, like so many others of you, we went to
the internet and found Dream Valley.  We actually printed out every page and
recruited Bill (Dad) to create a collection spreadsheet so we could search on
attributes and identify the ponies much more quickly.  And then we found Ebay
and the rest is history...

Our collection now is pretty enormous.  We have well over 1000 ponies and MLP
items including over 200 MOC/MIB items.  We've finished off all the plushes,
lack 2 US ponies and about 20 of the unique International ponies (counting the
"normal" production items and not things like Macaus and Italian ponies). 
Lauren and Jeanne "co-own" the collection now (and commandeered a whole room in
the house for the collection) and Bill takes care of things like the web pages
and lists and photography ("you can buy a digital camera if you will work on all
the MLP pages..." was the deal).  So... since it is a family thing, we took the
name Sweet Celebrations Loving Family (we have pics of everyone up on our
website holding their namesake pony, too!).

So...stop by our website sometime if you have the time.  We would love to have
you.  From time to time we put the spotlight on some part of our collection and
put up a pictorial showing - we've done a pony fashion show and now we are
featuring our ceramics and some ponies you won't normally find (like 4 different
versions of Peachy).  We have a couple hundred ponies up for sale or trade at
any time, too.

We are now up to 26 subscribers.

The answer to the question of exactly what this list does, we talk about
ponies, you can send your sales, auctions, trade lists, want lists, any
stories you want to share, pretty much anything that has to do with My
Little Ponies.

The reason I started this list was because I got sick of AOL's message board
restrictions, we can't post that we have ponies for sale or trade anymore, I
did that the other day and got a message saying I was in violation of the
message board rules.

So I decided to make my own list, but its not just limited to people on AOL,
this is for everyone.  If you have pony friends who you think would like to
join have them email me and I will send them a request to join ASAP.

I really enjoy reading the stories people post about how they got into
collecting ponies too.  I enjoy everything that has to do with My Little
Ponies. *smiles*

I got my first MOC ponies the other day, Peppermint Crunch and Banana
Surprise.  Its pretty neat, because I couldn't tell you the last time I saw
an old pony MOC in person.  I also received Truly and Magic Star (they are
absolutely perfect) with all their accessories and back cards.

I am getting ponies in for trade sometime this week.  I will then post my
webpage that has the trade list on here so everyone can go and look and see
if there is anyone you need.

I want to thank everyone for joining my list.  I hope everyone enjoys being

Realy though, I started recollecting ponys in August last year, and in

I'm a UKer, living in sunney bright Scotland...  There was some sun..

My pony name is Confetti..:) My collection is about 250 ponys, and
buldings, and clocks and bags and musical things.. everything I find
thats MLP I buy..:)

I have none of my orgional collection left:( When I moved out, I left
moonstone and starshine wth my little sister, and then they disapeared..
never to be seen again:(

BUT I more than make up for it with my current collection.

One very surprising thing is the amount of MLP's there are...  I don;t
remmeber that many of them, I remmeber the first sets and the plushes,
but where I lived we had hardly any MLPS!

Ohh yes at the moment I'm a wall lurker.. I'm about to start exams and
so I'll not be posting much until they are finished..:)

Hi TJ and Tabi, and everybody else on the list!  I'm one of the new subscribers
(hey, it's just ONE more mailing list ^_^;;).  *tries to remember how she began
collecting*  Well, the real story began back in the 80's, as I'm sure it did for
a lot of other people ;).  I had about 30 ponies by the end of it, and Paradise
Estate, the Nursery, and the Purfume Palace.  When I got online I searched for
MLP's one day, not really expecting to find anything...and I came across DV ^_^.
Up came the ponies from the basement (muhahahaha!  I wouldn't let mom throw them
away when we moved ^_~.  We went across state lines with Paradise Estate in the
moving van due to one stubborn little girl!).  After I finished rediscovering my
originals (surprisingly enough, I had kept nearly all of their names
correct...the only one I didn't was Little Flitter, who I named Summerwing
^_~...later Summerwing was recreated into her own pony, and became my
pony-persona), I of course had to make a list of the ponies I REALLY wanted to
have...

I have about 230 ponies now, and it's still growing (and making me broke ;)).
Once Internations gets itself back together (IF if ever does), I'll finally be
able to finish my pony page update.

We've been collecting ponies for about 10 years now.  The we is my daughter
and myself.  When she was 18 months old, we were at the B&I Toy Store and she
went straight for the petites.  Those were the first ponies she had!  At one
time she had them all, but over the years, a few have gone astray! (including
some that got buried in the back yard of a house we rented about 8 years ago!)

After those first petites, we were hooked!  Anytime we went to the thrift
stores, we were always looking for ponies and we would get one when we went
to the store. Needless to say, her collection grew.  But we weren't really
fanatics about it until the last 8 - 10 months when we discovered Dream
Valley and realized all the ponies that were out there!!!

She had about 70 - 80 ponies that she has collected since she was 18 months
old.  It has always been so funny to me, cause all the different phases she
has gone through (Fisher Price, Barbies, stuffed animals, etc.), the ponies
have been the only thing she never wanted to get rid of.  She would box them
up and put them away, only to get them back out in 6 to 8 months over the
years.  At one time she has just about all of the plushes, but did decide to
get rid of them one year (we are kicking ourselves now, cause they are so
hard to find!)

When we found Dream Valley is when I really started to get into the MLP
craze.  I was amazed at all the different ponies and their stories and the
personalities that went with each one.  Tabi still has her MLP movies that
she watched as a toddler and she would get all her ponies out and play along
with the movie.  Some of the ones that we picked up at the thrift stores, she
named herself cause we didn't know who they were and it was quite funny to
find Dream Valley and find out how close she was to some of their real names.

We have increased our collection (notice how it's now OURS and not hers) LOL
to about 400 now, with lots of duplicates that we are getting ready to
(hopefully) sale or trade for the ones we are still looking for.  Her
favorites have always been Cuddles (her first one came from the Value Village
and had no tail!).  We brought her home, gave her a bath and made her a yarn
tail.  Tabi has played with her so much over the years that she is now a
dirty green, but when we got a cuddles in a group lot, she refused to let her
beloved go, so we have two!  Her other favorites are Wind Whistler (she was
upset to find that this was a girl, cause she said it should have been a boy
- "listen to his voice in the movie mom, he's a boy not a girl!"),  Sparkle
Baby Gusty and Lickety Split, as well as all the Ballerina Ponies!  I think
my favorites are the Glow and Show, Soft Sleepy Newborns, and the Colorswirl
Ponies!

We both were quite amazed at the pony friends.  Again, we found Zig Zag at
our local thrift store and we just thought he was a weird looking pony!!!!
She named him Zebra cause of his stripes and treated him like a cousin!!!  We
now have adopted all of the pony friends (cha cha is on her way!) and were so
excited when this set was complete!  I think my favorite is Cutasauras cause
of her vibrant colors!

Most of our friends think it's a little strange that we are into Ponies, but
we just don't care.  We have a special room in our house that we have all the
ponies set up in (cause they are all going through baths and hair styling)
and we are getting ready to set up a scrap book.  Tabi is 12 and most of her
friends have moved on to other things and at first thought that it was weird
that she still played with her ponies, but as each one has come to our house
and discovered that her mom (oh my gosh) is a pony fanatic also, they have
accepted this and actually think it's quite cool!!

As for me, I'm 42 and I'm old enough not to care what everyone else thinks!!
My mom put it best - there are a whole lot worse things you could be spending
your money on and at least this way, you have something you really enjoy!

Hopefully soon, we will have a web site, where we want to show our scrap book
and have all the pictures and stories that go with each pony set as we
complete them!

I had about 30 ponies when I stopped collecting them, I thought I was to old
for them.  Thankfully, I kept all my ponies in the attic.  Two of the last
ones I got were Galaxy and Paradise.  The ponies that were my favorites,
although I loved them all, were in better condition than the others.  And I
am happy to say, my grandma always got me the mail in offers.  That is how I
own the lavender Ember with pink hair, 8 of 12 of the Birthflowers, and
Hollywood the flutter pony.

I started collecting My Little Ponies last year when I was looking around
AOL and found the My Little Pony Message Board.  By leaving some messages, I
was directed to Dream Valley, were I was stunned at the number of ponies
that there are.  As I was looking through the different pages of ponies, I
made my mind up that I must complete my collection, at least for the first
couple years.

So, I have picked out the sets of ponies I like the most and I am on a quest
to get all of these before I start on the other sets.  My collection numbers
around 100, but includes many mail in offer ponies, 2 UK ponies, Mimic, and
all but 5 of the So Soft ponies.

My top collecting priority at the moment is So Softs and Twinkle Eyed
Ponies.  I get double ponies in all the time and I am looking to buy, trade
or sell.  After I have a double pony for too long, I do put them up on Ebay.

her), So Soft Heart Throb, So Soft Lickety Split, Skippity Doo, and

My name is Jean, and when I was little I had hundreds of MLP's. Along the
course of my life we moved a lot and I gave a lot of them away or lost them.
I kept the ones that were in the best condition or that I couldn't bear to
part with, and now there are only a handful of my former collection. I miss
my ponies very much and wish I hadn't given them away. I remember all the
ones I used to have.. Medley, Tootsie, many of the twins.. But what is done
is done, and so now I'm concentrating on learning more about the ones I still
have. I found a fantastic site that helped me identify most of my ponies; I
don't recall the address, but it is called Dream Valley. I learned through
searching there that I still own Tux 'n' Tails, baby Sugarberry, Gusty, Bow
Tie, Parasol, Misty, Sunburst, and others.
	 I'd love to acquire more ponies for cheap, but I guess since a lot of
people aren't very willing to part with their beloved ponies for less than
they're worth, I'll have to look at second-hand stores and garage sales to
rebuild my herd. I found a bazaar that was selling quite a lot of them, and I
just about had a cow. My friend whom I was with was probably drowning in
waves of my nostalgia. ("Oo!! I used to have this one! OO! I always wanted
this one!")
	 Well, my letter is long enough. Nice to be on the list! What are all
