The Playhouse will hold auditions Aug. 4 and 5 at 7 p.m. at The Arts
Council for the first show of the 2008-2009 season, "Proud to Be an
American," a musical revue created by director Kathy Creech and music
director Becky Vanden Bosch.
Act One music will consist of American composers and artists
including Irving Berlin, Duke Ellington, Elvis Presley, Ray Charles,
The Beach Boys, Kelly Clarkson and Josh Groban.

Act Two will be all patriotic songs, including "The Star Spangled
Banner," "America the Beautiful," "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" and of
course, "God Bless the U.S.A," and a couple of surprises.

The minimum age requirement is 16.

A cast of around 25 is the target, but that number is flexible.

Everyone who wants to audition should have a prepared song. An
accompanist and CD player will be provided.

Show dates are Sept. 25-28. If you have any questions about the
auditions or the show, please call Kathy Creech at 237-3417.
