Thanks for the Kudos to Destini! Yes Destini is scheduled to sing 5 songs from
her album with Midnight Syndicate The dark masquerade. Renee and the Con Staff
has scheduled it for Sat. I don't know the time but it should be about 45
minutes long or so. I think the Cons website will post those details once they
are hammered down.

say she sounds awesome. She reminds me of a young Bernadette Peters. Hopefully
she'll be able to do a song or two at Comicon!

It seems that Wizard Magazine is no more. They will be going to an online
version according to a release. Can't say as I am surprised. The magazine
really kind sucked in recent years. Websites are able to get news out there
more quickly and, quite frankly, do not play favorites near as much.

Unlike other people i don't have a portable device to download my wizard magazines to. Unless i can view them on computer. Of course i'm still one of those who enjoy going to a bookstore and browse.

I'm hoping that Wizard releases another hardcover of all their covers. I have
the first one and brought it to Pitt and have it signed by about 15-20 people
already.

Seeking 3 Actors ASAP for Dark "Wizard of Oz" Stage Play Set in Mental Hospital!

Fringe theatre company in Pittsburgh is seeking three male actors for the second
stage production of our wildly popular "Dorothy in Oz" (a black comedy version
of "The Wizard of Oz," set in a mental institution) We're seeking performers
ASAP. The first time we produced it, it played to standing room only, and that
was in the Strip District during G-20!

We're currently looking for:

RUSTY (20-30, The Tin Man) a pierced, volatile biker, with a foul mouth and
extreme anger issues.

GRUNT (18-20s, One of the Wicked Witch of the West Wing's henchman) a hulking
(or just mucular), aggressive male college student, who volunteered for steroid
testing in exchange for beer money (serves in a "winged monkey" capacity)

TWITCH (18-20s, One of the Wicked Witch of the West Wing's henchman) a wiry,
cackling, crazed, and energetic male college student, who volunteered for
electro-shock testing in exchange for beer money (serves in a "winged monkey"
capacity)

Fun roles with professional grade character makeup in a hilariously dark show!
All roles UNPAID. If interested, send your physical stats, headshot, resume',
and any questions IMMEDIATELY to: rageofthestage(at)yahoo(dot)com

I know Perez is returning but who is the BIG guest this year? Last year it was
Roy Thomas. And is there any more names to be released? You don't have to tell
me who just that there is. Anyway I am looking forward to this years show like
I always do.

Last year I got my Pulp/Serial Jam done. So, this year I am thinking of doing a
Batman Jam. Batman and all his allies (Robin, Nightwing, Red Robin, Batgirl
etc.) on a giant 17x22 boards.

I remember someone on here last year saying that they were getting the Uncanny
X-Men 275 cover done with Muppets and was wondering how it turned out and would
love to see it. I saw him getting a piece done by Balent.

Do you prefer sketch cards or sketch books.

Personally when I first went to a show (Pittsburgh 2004 or 5) I had a plain 8x10
sketchbook from WalMart. Now I get them done on 11x17 comic boards. This way
the artist has more room and freedom and I can also get some great jam pieces
like the ones I got last year.

My pulp jam

My Aspen Jam

Now I just have to find someone(s) to ink them and possibly color.

It was suggested to me a few years back for artist jams get each artist to create a sketch on 8 1/2 X 11 paper and put the images together in Photoshop. That way you can have jams done quicker and a little bit more creative control.

No reason to be sorry Donnie. It was a fair question. Renee and I had a

I still need three pieces to finish it off. I won't be at Pittsburgh this year (stuff has come up), and I do have a loony toons as DC characters theme going on for this years sketches.
Here's a link to my comic art fans page where I have all my sketches posted.

I know Perez is returning but who is the BIG guest this year? Last year it was Roy Thomas. And is there any more names to be released? You don't have to tell me who just that there is. Anyway I am looking forward to this years show like I always do.

Last year I got my Pulp/Serial Jam done. So, this year I am thinking of doing a Batman Jam. Batman and all his allies (Robin, Nightwing, Red Robin, Batgirl etc.) on a giant 17x22 boards.

I remember someone on here last year saying that they were getting the Uncanny X-Men 275 cover done with Muppets and was wondering how it turned out and would love to see it. I saw him getting a piece done by Balent.

I don't know if you have the panels done already, but I really liked the panel
last year with Thomas, Sinnott, and Chan. I am looking forward to this years
stuff but if you could do the same thing, but I would like to see the different
decades of creators from when Sinnott started to Chan and Grell to Perez and any
creators that started in the 90s to 00s like Tucci or Jimenez. Just to have a
contrast of what it was like to work. Oh and make it a little longer like 90
mins to 2hrs because 1 hr last year to hear them talk about different stories
and answer questions wasn't long enough.

Just a suggestion.

Also I would like to see a panel about writing a comic. You know about the
different ways to write a script for a book to getting it published. There are
always plenty of panels about illustrating but writing...

Also looking forward to any new people being added for this year.

personal issues have caused us to be a wee bit behind schedule as to where we

everything in the bag. So bear with me and I hope to have some exciting news in
the next two weeks.

Hello Folks,

We have some exciting goings on here at Comicon Central. The first of which I
am announcing today is that....
Being Human is coming to the Burgh!!

Stars of the hit SyFy series, Being Human,
SAM WITWER (Aidan-Being Human, Davis Bloom/Doomsday-Smallville,
Crashdown-Battlestar Galactica, Neil Perry-Dexter) and
SARAH ALLEN (Rebecca-Being Human) will be appearing in Pittsburgh all 3 days of
the show.

Being Human which debuted in December on the SyFy Channel revolves around three
roommates living in Boston who appear to have normal lives despite being a
ghost, a vampire and a werewolf. Witwer leads the cast as the Vampire-Aidan.
Aidan is a melancholic 250-odd year old vampire who works as a nurse in a Boston
Hospital. Allen portrays Aidan's ex-girlfriend, Rebecca Flynt whom he drained of
blood in a moment of weakness. She is revived as a vampire and now hates her
former love. The series had the largest audience for a SyFy premiere since 2005.

The pair will be signing autographs all weekend and there will be a Being Human
Q & A Saturday at 2:00 PM;
(plus keeping watching for details about a Meet and Greet with the stars.)

While we're talking about Media Guests, we also just recently added from The
SyFy Channel's Reality Show FaceOff, contestant and Savini School Graduate,
Jessica Kramer to the guest list.

And if you are a fan of the martial arts genre, Bruce Lee co-star from Enter the
Dragon, Way of the Dragon and Game of Death,
Bob Wall will be making his first appearance in the Burgh.

We'll be adding 30+ guests and the events schedule to the Comicon Website in the
coming days, so keep watching www.pittsburghcomicon.com for details.

Talk to you again soon.

Never mind Being Human, he is also Galen Marek aka Starkiller in The Force Unleashed!  He has also provided voices for The Clone Wars.

Awesome!!!
