Greetings fellow Pittsburgh comiccon attendees, some of you may know me, some of you probably wish you could forget me.
I'm asking for sugestions for a jam piece that I will at least be iniating at this years con. X-men #1 (The one with the interlocking covers) with the Muppets as th X-men characters. Right now I only have three ideas (of my own at least) Bunsen Honeydew as Xavier, Sweetiums as Colossus and Beaker as Gambit. I'm looking for suggestions from everyone. I did post this on my Facebook page and I did get some suggestions, but I need more.

Kermit as Cyclops and Miss Piggy as Jean Grey. Rizzo the Rat as Gambit.
Statler and Waldorf (the critics who sit on the balcony)as Xavier and Magneto.

I'd put Miss Piggy as Emma Frost. And maybe Sam the Eagle (don't know if that's the right name) as Archangel.

Actually Donnie,

I don't know what the hold up is on the mailer. I've been finished with it for 2 weeks and I expected it to go out last week, but it still hasn't arrived. I'll know more after the staff meeting today.

With a 10:00 opening time, all of the dealers have to be in and set up by Thursday Night, for most of them that adds an extra hotel night plus an extra day away from their store or job. With a 1:00 pm opening time, we have some set up time on Friday morning for those not wishing to stay that extra day. Granted it does take away 3 hours from our Friday time frame, (which was already our longest day) but it has already been a catalyst for some new vendors for 2010.

I have had to make some changes to the schedule from what will be appearing in our mailer (which should be mailing this week if it isn't already out), I need to move some stuff around. (It's kinda like putting together a puzzle with too many pieces.) But I'll have all the kinks out by the end of the weekend, so the revised schedule will be up early this week.

If space permits (if I can put two boards together) to add others like Tarzan, Green Hornet, and others. I am hoping to get 2 comic art boards filled.

Miss Piggy as Storm or Psylocke. Fozzi bear as Gambit, Sam the Eagle as
Colossus, Gonzo would be a funny Wolverine ( for the kermit as cyclops and Miss
Piggy as Jean grey) but the truth is I can see him as a Nightcrawler, and to
finish Dr. Bunsen Honeydew as Professor Charles Francis Xavier

hope you liked my ideas

Scooter as Cyclops, Janice as Emma Frost

The schedule from the mailer is already obsolete. The ROY THOMAS panel
scheduled for Saturday at 1 has morphed into a Legends panel discussing the
Heyday of Marvel. I challenge you to come up with a more star studded panel
than this. We're taking ROY THOMAS, GENE COLAN, HERB TRIMPE, JOE SINNOTT AND
GARY FRIEDRICH, all on hand to discuss those much ballyhooed days at the House
of Ideas and 1 hour could no longer contain this panel, so it has been extended
to an hour and a half. (1:00 - 2:30 on Saturday).

Sinnott panels) The INKERS panel originally scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday
has been moved to 3:00 pm on Friday.

that wishes to take part in KIDZ DAY with a special promotion/giveaway, send an

Program Book and the Website. Additionally, I have 1 HOUR of panel time on
SUNDAY if someone has a kids event they would like to host. Send your ideas.
This will NOT be done on a first come first serve, I will make a decision on the

Sunday) I feel strongly about this promotion and your participation is much
appreciated.

You know what's really weird? I was working on a print that has the Muppets as X-men, it was more classic X-men though.
Too Funny.

You never need be sorry Donnie :)
As far as cancelations go, no there haven't been any except the ones you
mentioned. However, I noticed you guys talking about Randy Queen a while back.
I never announced Randy, (I think he may have slipped out on the facebook page),
but he was someone we were working with Top Cow on but it didn't pan out for
this year.

I'll keep you informed if the guest list has any other changes.

P.A.T.

I am also wanting to get a jam piece done at the show but I need suggestions on
which artists to choose to do what. It is a piece of old Pulp and serial
characters.

Here is my list of characters and artists I think will be good.

The Shadow-Mikey Wood
Commando Cody-Josh Medors
Sheena-EBAS
Domino Lady-Jim Balent
Miss Masque (Masquerade)-Holly G!
Phantom-Andy Bennett
The Spider-?
Blackhawk-?
Superman-?
Batman-?
Robin?
Shazam (Capt. Marvel)-?
Captain America-?

If you have any suggestions on artists, please let me know. I know I want
McDaniel to do one but can't decide which. Also if you have any suggestions for
other pulp/serial characters let me know.

And don't worry about the amount of characters. I pan to spread them out on 1-3
comic art boards.

See this is the whole point of my piece. It's the artists interpretation of the
character. If they want to do a modern Superman and not one from the 40's, its
good. If Holly wants to do a charactature of the character, thats her
interpretation.

This will probably be my last time for any convention. So I'm hoping to leave with some sketches and a small stash of goodies. Of course I'll have my daughter in tow, finally talked her in to doing the costume contest.  I'd like to see us win, so I have a bribe in mind for the Judges

Female Elventaur - Jim Balent
Holly G - Anything she wants
Sinically Twisted - Anything she wants
Tour Guide or Myself in costume - Mikey Wood
Tour Guide or Myself in Costume - Tod Allen Smith
Tour Guide -  Any artist who will draw them for $15 or $20.

I am also wanting to get a jam piece done at the show but I need suggestions on which artists to choose to do what. It is a piece of old Pulp and serial characters.

Here is my list of characters and artists I think will be good.

The Shadow-Mikey Wood
Commando Cody-Josh Medors
Sheena-EBAS
Domino Lady-Jim Balent
Miss Masque (Masquerade)-Holly G!
Phantom-Andy Bennett
The Spider-?
Blackhawk-?
Superman-?
Batman-?
Robin?
Shazam (Capt. Marvel)-?
Captain America-?

If you have any suggestions on artists, please let me know. I know I want McDaniel to do one but can't decide which. Also if you have any suggestions for other pulp/serial characters let me know.

And don't worry about the amount of characters. I pan to spread them out on 1-3 comic art boards.

I'm sorry but I was with Jim and Holly the last time they were at Pittsburgh
Comic Con for the entire weekend, and Holly did in fact do requests for people.
