Can anyone tell me how to get tickets for autographs for Stan Lee when he comes to the con? My wife has a few collectibles she'd like to have him sign.

Thanks to anyone who can help. Links would be great so I can pass them on to her.

On the main page for the comiccon just click on "Buy Tickets Here" on the left
frame and this will take you to where you can purchase tickets for the show and
for Stan Lee.

Me, I just ordered a Spiderman 3 movie poster. The one that is mirrored with
the red and blue spidey on one side, and the symbiote on the other. I'm
planning on getting Lee to sign the red and blue side and Ron Frenz to sign the
symbiote side.

I'm most likely getting my minty fresh-like copy of "FOOM" #17 with the Stan Lee
as all the Marvel Heroes front cover.
I also am contemplating the SDCC Stan Lee action figure, but the FOOM will frame
nicely.
Maybe I will get another autograph ticket and get both. Hmmmm.......

I still don't know what I'd like to get signed :(

Maybe McFarlane's Spider-Man #1?
Maybe my copy of How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way?

Sheesh, I have no idea.

HELLO PITT-CON PEOPLE!!!

I just sent an update over to the website yesterday, including newly added
guests: MIKE MCKONE and BOB MCLEOD. As of this morning our webguys have all the
new guests added, but they haven't added our program book covers to the Charity
Auction Page yet. I assume they'll have them up today, but I am very excited
about both the covers.

The front is an amazing re-imagining of the cover to Stan Lee's The Superhero
Women painted by Mike Okatomo.

The back is a stunning Jean Grey-Phoenix by Jamie Fay. The pencil art is going
up on the auction page, but if you want to see a full color version (which is
awesome) check out Jamie's deviant art page at: www.windriderx23.deviantart.com

Chaz, Glad you liked the STAN FAN Shirt. I haven't seen them yet, they came in
the day after Renee and I last met, but I'll get to see them today and I'm very
excited!!!

Anyhooo, below is a preview of our most recent update.

Talk to you soon,

PAT

SUBJECT: THE COMICON NEWS JUST KEEPS ON COMING
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well Comicon Crazies,

This weeks news can be encapsulated in a quote from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome,

"Two Men Enter, One Man Leaves" (Wow is that ever a dated reference!!)

Anyway,

We have one cancellation to announce. Herb Trimpe won't be able to make it due
to a change in his schedule.

But to replace Mr. Trimpe we have not one but two great comics creators,

• Mike McKone current artist of Amazing Spider-man and cover artist to
Deadpool:Suicide Kings and the Punisher as well as former artist of The
Fantastic Four and Teen Titans will be making his first appearance in
Pittsburgh;

• and we also just added New Mutants co-creator and long time comic artist and
inker, Bob McLeod.

Also added to the guest list this week are the group of creators dubbed Angry
Drunk Graphics Indy Island.

ADG Indy Island includes such acclaimed indy creators as: Doug Pasziewicz
(Arsenic Lullabies), Steve Vincent (Spaztic Colan), Erik Hodson (World of the
Zombies) and more!!

For a full guest list visit: www.pittsburghcomicon.com/guest.html

Our 2009 Program book covers have both been added to our Charity Auction Page
this week.

The Front Cover is an incredible recreation of the cover to Stan Lee's Superhero
Women - Painted by Mike Okamoto

The Back Cover is a stunning Jean Grey-Phoenix by Jamie Fay. You can see
Jamie's pencil art on the charity auction page now, but when you see this in
full color it will blow your mind.

For a preview of some of our auction items visit:
www.pittsburghcomcion.com/events.html

Lastly, Thanks to all the artists that have come forward with Kidz Day
Promotions for Sunday of the show.

Our full Sunday Kidz Day summary includes:

• Free admission to Kids 12 and under;

• Kids Events including Duck Drawing with Patrick Block, A Kids Martial Arts
panel with the Last Dragon's Taimak and Star Wars Kidz Crafts courtesy of
S.W.A.P.;

• Plus giveaways from Gary Reed, Sean Forney, Heather Kreiter, Mark Mariano,
Tony Meillo, Andrew Harmon, Josh Warner and Kelli Stevens Kane.

Although time has run out to get any more promotions into the program book, I
still encourage artists to participate and help to bring new readers into the
fold. For our current participants and for artists that decide to provide a
promotion between now and the show, I will be providing Kidz Day participant
signs to post at your Booth or Table to help the kids find you in the convention
hall.

I'll talk to you again next week with more Comicon News and I hope to see you
all in a little over three weeks.

Question about Stan Lee tickets.
Is the limit of 5 tickets for the ones that you can purchase or ones that you
can have period? If I were to purchase 5 and my parents were to purchase 5 more
for me, is that possible? I work with someone who was asking and i didn't know
the answer.

And what about photos? Can i get a quick one with my ticket or do I have to
purchase another ticket for a photo separately?

Who, other than Stan Lee, are you looking forward to seeing at the show?

Me, I'm looking forward to see Darryl Banks so that I can get another Green
Lantern sketch for my collection. I already have one of Kyle Raynor by Banks
and a sketch of Hal by Scott McDaniel. I would also like to finish my
bat-family sketches also. I have a Batman India ink painting by Francis
Manapul, a Robin by Scott McDaniel, and a Batgirl by Jim Balent. Just need to
get a Nightwing done but don't know who to get it from.

I always enjoy finding new indy books. Sometimes it's a hit, sometimes
a miss, but finding new talent/books is my favorite part of any con. I
found a number of new (to me) creators in artist alley this year, so
I'm really looking forward to seeing what they bring!

Herb Trimpe, but he just canceled. i was going to beg him for a commission since he isnt taking on any now according to his web sight. its a continuation of a cover he did in the 80's. i was going to turn it into a tattoo. ive spoken with him about this before, he thinks its a cool idea but just way to swamped with animation stuff.

Me, I'm looking forward to see Darryl Banks so that I can get another Green Lantern sketch for my collection. I already have one of Kyle Raynor by Banks and a sketch of Hal by Scott McDaniel. I would also like to finish my bat-family sketches also. I have a Batman India ink painting by Francis Manapul, a Robin by Scott McDaniel, and a Batgirl by Jim Balent. Just need to get a Nightwing done but don't know who to get it from

Hey folks!.

I wanted to drop a line and ask that you all come out Saturday for the sketch
card panel. It will be me (Tod Smith), Allsion Sohn, Sean Pence, and Don
Pedicini Jr. We'll discuss pretty much everything about the sketch card biz, and
maybe even have some previews of some upcoming work. There will also be a
surprise or two to be had, so stop by from 12 to 1.

Also, stop by my booth S079, where I'll have b/w and full color prints for sale,
full color sketch card commissions for only 20.00 and I'll also be doing sketch
covers for Secret Invasion, Fallen Son, The Marvels Project, and possibly Dark
Avengers for 75.00. (with each sketch cover you'll get your choice of 1 free b/w
print).

I'll have other items for sale too, and will be hard at work on Star Wars The
Clone Wars Season One sketch cards.

So check out a few things on my DA page at http://norvandell.deviantart.com

Hope to see you there!.

I'll be sure to check it out. Hopefully I won't be in line for Stan Lee at that
time.

I just received my shirt today. I got the lantern Spectrum one. I ordered one
to get signed by everyone I can so that later i can get it framed. As I said
before I am a huge GL fan and this shirt is perfect. I have my silver markers
ready.
Oh, and if anyone is on the fence about ordering this shirt. The photo of the
shirt doesn't do it justice. It is WAAAAAAAAAAAAY better in person.

I just wanted to state the excitement that I am getting. I look forward to this
con every year. I believe this is number 10 for me. I think it is one of the
best run cons I attend and the friendliest. I hope everyone who can attended
will attended and have a glorious time like me.

I am looking forward to seeing Stan the Man. And getting as many Storm sketches
as I can.

Also I am a big fan of Terry Moore. Looking to visit him. I have all the Echo
books. I believe I will get them signed a few at at time each day.

Peace.
Troy

This is a yearly ritual for me and my friend Dave. Been going since the
beginning and always try to make it on Friday at opening.
I thought I was not going to be able to do Friday this year. I put in for the
day off at work and was denied. Everyone wants 9/11 off. Then today got word
they re-evaluated the requests for September and approved them all. So Friday
here I come!!!! And Saturday of course for Stan the Man!
Now we can take it easy on Friday and shop and hang out, and then meet Stan on
Saturday. Bummed Mr. Trimpe cancelled yet again. Looking forward to talking to
Mike Grell again. He's just awesome!
15 days and counting!

Glad I stopped reading Marvel. Disney will just screw this up like they did
with the Jim Hensen Properties.
