I don't know..... I finally made it Sunday, maybe that's the reason,
but I was let down majorly.
Ernie Hudson was a class act all the way!
I bought a polariod and it was kind of messed up, so he gave me a
signed 8X10 of my choice, and I got a pic with my camera.
Great Guy.

Claire was super also.
Some actual 8X10's would have been nice, since she was charging for
them, but she also was a class act, and talked to me for a little
while.

Felt bad for Margot Kidder.... didn't see many people around her, but
seemed pretty nice. Heard her on the phone saying it was a very nice
convention, and the people were great, but a small crowd.

Dawn of the Dead people looked bored out of their mind. LOL

Got a great print from Thomas Fleming, and was cool he's remembered me
through the years.

I guess people were packing up early because of the snow, but just
didn't look like much there this year, but then I'm usually there on
Saturdays.

Not worth the $17.00 admission anyways.

Well, guess there is always next year.

oh yeah... did he show up?
I didn't see him Sunday... maybe he got the hint. LOL

They dropped the ball and should have tried to get RVD.
After all he has his own comic shop AND is a big draw.

I had a really good time this year. Got a good bit of stuff I wanted.
The costume contest had a lot of good costumes, even though I'm not a
fan of how it's run. Best part for me was meeting Jason Carter since I
loved his character from Babylon 5. He was a really cool nice guy too.
It's always great to meet celebrities that you're a fan of and
discover they're nice people too. Thanks to the people running the con
for a great time! Looking forward to next year!

Yeah, I went as Shaun of Shaun of the Dead and I think it would've
been nice had the judges actually SEEN the movie it was from. <sigh>
Overall, though...the con ROCKED. Granted, it was my first one, but I
did go all three days.

I have to say thanks to Space Ghost and one other who stopped by my
table, who I hate to say I could not remember. That was due to a lack
of sleep from my car stay, but this guy had a wicked scare on his
arm, so if your reading this, sorry I forgot your name but I think
you could understand why. There may have been two others, but at my
age I'm lucky to remember what I had for breakfast.

Ghost your painting will be coming soon.

I got 2 jobs out of this years con, which is more than the last few
cons put together.

I was able Friday and Saturday night to find a room with the guys
from Digital Webbing. GW Fisher and Jamal were the coolest.

By the way, Weaver never showed up to apologize, guess he was too
scared to be a man. He may have too, but who cares.

See you all next year.

Hi Everyone!!

the con for me was great. I really enjoyed it and have been
attending it for almost about 7 years. What I really enjoyed was the
quick sketch. It is always fun and I do win at least one. I want to
thank the lady who on Sunday gave me the great Misty Knight sketch.
This is what makes this con probably the best I attend because the
people are so nice and friendly. And you get to know the faces year
in and out.

The celebrities were great. A little expensive but everyone has to
make a living. And the Dawn of the Dead people did seem bored. I
notice a few regular tables did not appear. I also notice all of the
cover models that normally attended were not there. Was there that
much of complaints about making this a "family atmosphere". I
missed them. But I enjoy scantly dressed women.

Only complaint I have was having a fun activity to do on Saturday
night. The Rocky Horror movie was a cool idea but if you are driving
on Sunday you don't want to be up so late on Saturday night. Besides
that rock on for next year.

I went on saturday and had the awesome suprise of actuly bumping in to
Tom Savini luckily i had a camera on me so I got a picture with him. I
was also happy to get some of my favorite comics signed by George
Perez, Ron Garney, J.G. Jones, John Livesay, Tom Smith, and Howard
Porter. I was at first bummed out that Micheal Turner wasnt there but
when I found out his cancer came back I felt really bad and hope he
recovers soon. I was glad that my little bro came dressed as Batman he
was a huge hit because everyone wanted to get a picture with him and
he's only 3! Last I finaly got one of the movies I've been dying to
get: 1991's Captain America! It sucks that its only once a year, I
guess i'll have to wait next year. But at least the pittsburgh Toy
show is coming up in July then in December and since I'm like 20 mins.
away from Monroeville I guess I'll go.

Hey everyone I also had a great time at the show ,but I do have some
complaints not too many though.Who the hell is the one dudes that took
like 50 of the batman posters getting them all signed. Those guies piss
mee off hard core. They are there for one reason and that is too get
things sold!!!!!they all those posters on Fridat, and like 20 programs a
piece.I just want to tell them they are assholes ,and I hope you read
this or get wind of it.They either work the show or something and get
those exibitor passes and beat the rest of us in (assholes). The reason
I say this is because I am a true fan I go up to Mark Texera to get a
book signed, and he has this sign hanging up on the back cartain on a
8x10 or a 5x7 paper like I would know to look for it saying not
signing, now get this in mind hes sitting there not doing nothing, and I
only have 1 book to get signed ,and he says "do you see my sign" .I am
like ok hate to bother you ,and put the book back in the bag,and
leave.I leave for 10 minn go back buy and you got those guies getting
like 20 books signed ,and hes all nice to them. What a dick!!!!! I go to
hooters to eat later that night and those guies are there eating I tell
my friend if they get waitied on before us I am going off. LOL am I the

i totally agree!!!i was first in line for the show sunday and i go
back and they are already in chairs waiting. i left a piece of
brsitol paper with mark tex on saturday to get a basic wolverine
from him not painted or anything and i see them all day gettin
things signed. i go sunday and they are there 3 times sitting, and
in the end i go to him around 4 and there they are again gettin
stuff drawn and mine never got touched. i love tes's work but he can
have his assholes. and dude take the freakin shades off indoors!!
i noticed a daggetts comics on ebay put 3 sal buscema sketches on
ebay today! i wonder if thats them. i think it might be. it says in
there ad they hit cons.this is bull crap and out of hand i think.
i saw the buscemas on ebay and sent them a message saying i hope
they donated 75.00 each for those sketches because sal drew them
with a contribution to make a wish foundation. and these jerks are
tryin to make a profit off it!!

i think everyone shoudl bug the piss out of the guys sellin the sal
buscema sketches on ebay right now! sal asked for a donation to make a
wish foundation and he would draw you a sketch. lines were huge and
they even went thru askin people to get out of line if they already
had a sketch . so today i see 3 sketches from the pitt con from sal on
ebay all "to keith".
i sent them a message saying i hope they donated 75.00 a sketch
because those were to raise money for make a wish foundation. then
these low lifes try to make a profit off of them!1 im soo ticked. i
think it said daggets comics and they advertise they ht shows.i think
these might be the idiots that took all the batman posters and
programs and prints and got lines backed up with 100's of signings.
it ruined the whole show for me.

My friend sent me the link to this auction right before I read this post.
I felt the same way.
I'm glad to see that you sent them that message.
I was about to do the same, in fact I'm still gonna do it!
I was in line for Sal on Friday, and there was this guy behind me sitting in a
chair.
I went Saturday morning to see the Buffy panel.
I walked by where Sal was signing, and there in the front, the same guy,
sitting in the chair.
The one cool thing about Sal was, when someone had a big stack of stuff for
him to sign, he limited them to 10 things, to keep the people in line from
waiting too long.

If you didn't buy some copies of Jason Yungbluth's "Deep Fried", you
should have your head examined. I swear, "Deep Fried" is one of the
funniest series I've ever read. Check out the website:
www.whatisdeepfried.com . "Weapon Brown" is good, too. Order some
copies now, or may God have mercy on your soul.lol . The Ghostbusters
endorce it so you know it has to be good.

Also, "Nightmare World" is quite awesome, if I do say so myself. go to
www.nightmareworld.com for more info.

The only bad thing about the con that it was a shitty year as far as
wrestlers go. Of all the people that could have come, why did it have
to be Johnny Valiant AGAIN. I saw him on Saturday and he just looked
like he was miserable. Other than that, it was a great con.

Now, if they could get Robert Englund next year, it'll be even better
than this year. Kane Hodder(Jason) was there last year, so it's just
fair for the Fred-heads to get to meet Robert Englund. As far as
wrestlers go, we need RVD!

OK, I might not be up to everything that's going on with this
situation, but #1 please do not use all caps. And while your at it,
please use the spell checker and add some punctuation once and
a while guys!

#2 If this is a big problem email the convention and let them know there
is a problem. If they know what's going on then they can try to make sure
it does not happen again next year.

"Wow! All these sketches are great! So are all the signed comics! Ive
always wanted sketches like these. I would actually have one if some
assholes werent hogging all the creators time at the PittCon this

Hi! I had the best time ever this year. I was working with anime
actors Tiffany Grant & Matt Greenfield from ADV Films, and had a great
time. They reported that they were very happy with how Comicon
treated them, and were very happy with the response of visitors and
panel attendees. I'm so happy that Comicon was so agreeable to
bringing them in as guests. Both say that they'd be happy to come
back (schedules willing). I'm going to work on getting the ROBOTECH
tour next year as well, if Renee is up for it.

My daughter was Optimus Prime in the costume contest, and we were very
happy that she won a prize! This was her first costume contest and
only her third time at a comic/media convention, & she had a blast!

I can't say I had much trouble with the artists' availability, since
my wife & I were there for the entire weekend. I'm honestly not much
into mainstream comics, and the couple of artist there that I'm into
know me already (Joe Linsner, for one) so there was plenty of
opportunity to talk. It was cool that Dave Aiken was promoting his
Dora the Explorer book work, which was a treat for my daughter Rachael
(Optimus Prime!). Dawn of the Dead guest Nicky Tallo is someone I used
to work with at WQED, so its always nice to get to talk to him @
Comicon, since I don't work in the Pittsburgh market any more. [Anyone
who might remember WQEX sign-off video short - which ended with Monty
Python's "Always look on the bright side of life" - Nick is one of the
two guys who find the passes-out QEX employee at the end of the short.)

first day knowing that there is still two more days to go in the show.2)
Why should I have to say anything to them about the posters on the
tabel they are close enough to the tabel to see what is going on,also
they have guies at the door checking for wrist bands .How hard would it
have been to tell the guies to watch the tabel and see if peopel was
taking a bunch of them at once.OK that is outside the show.
On the inside I blame the artist, writers, inkers.I may not be the
smartest guy in the world ,but I have enough common sence that is a guy
or girl is handing me 30 books with the same cover that they are being
sold just the same with poster, and why you would sign anything you had
nothing to do with?????To the people selling the Sal sketches on E
bay!!!!I have no doubt that there are guttless, because they left there
names rite on them, and dont tell me they used there real name! They
didnt even have the nerve to tell them there real name. You cant tell me
that the guest of the shows dont know they are E Bay sellers,if they
dont than I can see why they have a job in comics ,because they couldnt
get another job.The only reason why I say this is becaue I am a true
fan,and I feel like they act like jerks to some of us ,and go out of
there way to be nice to the E bay sellers.Mark Tex is a Jerk,Ron Frenz
is a Jerk.I dont even want to go over the time I had with them because
it would take too long.
Now to how to resolve this I say anyone that had troubel with
this we meat outside the show before we go in, we all whear sun
glasses, because its just sooooo cool to whear them indoors(Mark Tex was
even trying to go hollywood on Sat),and any time we are in the same
line we are we can chant Comic Monster or E bay.I kept my mouth shut
this time and never said a word, but next year wont be the same.
To the guy who wrote in caps ,if you want to write in caps go
ahead and do it dont check the spell checker, because I know mine isnt
that great, and you post ever how you want.

                               Happy

OK, Her costume was awesome! I saw her at the George Perez panel and had to
back up and take a second look! I look forward to her costume for next year!

My daughter was Optimus Prime in the costume contest, and we were very

Hey Dirk

Just curious when that was going up. Sorry to say now, that I forgot
what I did for you.

I've already sent out a piece for one of the jobs that I got out of the
con, and the writter of the 2 part story I'm pencilling and inking has
started to write the story. Not too much longer.

I still have prints available if you or anyone else is interested. I
know how money and cons go together. And I'm always up for commisions.
