Welcome to Pittsburgh Freecycle, an officially recognized member of The FreecycleTM Network.
We represent the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, including Monroeville, Oakland, North Hills, South Side, Greentree, Moon Township, Upper St. Clair and all points in between.
The worldwide Freecycle
TM Network is made up of many individual groups across the globe. It is a grassroots movement of people who are giving and getting stuff for free in their own towns. Each local group is run by local volunteer moderators. Membership is free.
How does The FreecycleTM Network work?Everything posted must be free. Whether it's a chair, a fax machine, a piano, or an old door to be given away, it can be posted on the network. Maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself! Respond to the posting directly and you just might get it. It is up to the giver to set up a pickup time for passing on the treasure.
FreecycleTM Mission Statement"Our mission is to build a worldwide gifting movement that reduces waste, saves precious resources & eases the burden on our landfills while enabling our members to benefit from the strength of a larger community."
