This Yahoo! Group served as a means of communication for a small group that met on and off for a few years on Monday nights to talk theology over beer and whiskey at Enoch's Irish Pub in Monroe, LA.

Troy Bart Lizenby, a member of Auburn Avenue Presbyterian Church, was the driving force behind the formation of the group. Other churches represented included Northminster, Grace Episcopal, First Baptist West Monroe, Messiah Lutheran, and St Thomas, among others, and we welcomed members and clergy of all other congregations, as well as those not currently affliated with a particular community of faith.

Our meeting format was simple. Sometimes one person led the discussion or got the ball rolling with a pre-selected, prepared topic, informing and guiding a roundtable discussion rather than lecturing or monologuing. Other times, only one person showed up. More often than not, a few folks got together and simply went with the flow. We called it a night whenever we ran out of time, steam, drinks, or money.
