Welcome one and all to this fantabulous ML! ^_^ My name is Ten'ou Haruka, and
I'm part of the unofficial welcoming committee around these parts. ^_^ Along
with Sanada Mitsuki, my equally fantabulous assistant, we're VERY glad to meet

... Who the hell was person coming up that CLAMP will have a convention? For all
I know is those creators from CLAMP don't go to there OWN convention because
they only attended one event, and that was way back when RAYEARTH became a hit
in JAPAN.

Whoever thought of these rumors are going to swallow a bigger pill to know that
the creators of CLAMP don't even go or to held a convention. As for KONAMI would
held such a convention better read EGM (Electronic Gaming Monthly) to be sure
that KONAMI only held a convention along with game developers only in the US &
JAPAN. As for having a convention with KONAMI behind here better try go to
Hongkong's HK COMIC FESTIVAL & CYBERCARNIVAL. KONAMI's one only of the sponsors
in a one big event happening every June-July such as the HK COMICS FEST.

Thank you for clearing this up, I just hope that people here didn't
really make an effort to rush costumes based on CLAMP. Its such a
waste of time and money... -_-

Me and my friends felt that CLAMP was a hoax from the start, but we
didn't have enough evidence to prove it.

I think video game companies (Namco, Konami, Capcom, and such), only
participate in the so-called E3 convention in the USA and other major
electronic gaming conventions in Japan.

For those who spread these rumors...shame on you...

Marvel Comics goes Mangaverse

Yes, you heard it right Marvel Comics will release there own anime inspired
line-up under there "East meets West". So what is Mangaverse? Well let's just
say you take Wolverine an american comic character, and being drawn by manga or
japanese artist with a different take of story unlike its american counterpart.

Spider-Man will be the first batch of Mangaverse titles comic out from Marvel.
For those who still interested with collecting Marvel Comics while being an
anime fan will surely pick up Mangaverse #1 were all your fave Marvel characters
are drawn in anime art. For more info on the upcoming titles just check out your
local comic specialty shop.


Anime series manga bound

Viz Comics is releasing Bastard, Big O, and Love Hina while TokyoPop Press is
releasing a four part Cowboy Bepop series, and Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz in
print a five-part mini-series. Also keep an eye on the Astroboy manga series
from Dark Horse Comics which is also released in the same format of Lone Wolf &
Cub priced at PhP 650.00 each. For more of these titles check out your comics
stores, and specialty shops.


Samurai Jack another anime inspired `toon!

The "anime" inspired `toon which first aired in the US last September 2001 is
going to make waves in Asia namely here in the Philippines as its going be aired
as a series. You've seen the one hour TV movie of Samurai Jack from Cartoon
Network, but don't miss out the first episode of the series to be aired on

The year 2001 as became a growing period for the Anime Industry here in the
Philippines. We saw new people, new groups sprouting out, more conventions, and
for those veterans we saw new improvements with there own events. We here at
Anime Uchi we got to grow up too. Our site was critisized by some people that we
were copying the WeAreAnime.Com site, but the truth of the matter is Anime Uchi
& WeAreAnime is not only has a very BIG connection as sibling sites, but both
WebMasters of there respective sites are close friends back in the Monster Radio
RX93.1 days. Even before anime was the trend for everybody the two WebMaster
were closed friends who won there first Web Awards way back in 1998 when they
won the People's Choice awards for the Radio1 website since they both
co-created, and conceptualized the aformentioned site.

Expect WAA & Anime Uchi something planned for February for now keep on logging

3) The Couple Issue-->no more issues... :)

4) Security
If you are kupal, we kick you out, its that simple.
Kupal means:
-public disturbance of no moral or practical outcome.
-gate crashing
-any form of crime that is listed in the constitution.
-bringing in of alcohol for the minors
-being an asshole that gets in the way of everyone else...

5) Invitation Purchasing and Prices:
There are three separate times to purchase a ticket:
a) Eyeball Meeting on February 2, 2002
b) Anytime after the Eyeball Meeting on February 2, 2002
c) At the door
a and b are pre-reservation, and the only difference is the seating
arrangement, the prices will remain the same.

FLAT RATE <new>: P500 no more singles and couples tickets
reason: Club Filipino is High Maintenance.

c is on the day itself so it will be more expensive
Price: P550 at the door FLAT RATE

What you will get:
a) EB attendees:
-VIP status and priority on table arrangement
-Printed Invitation and Parental Waiver (if you are under 18)
-Discounted tickets
-Surprise!
b) Online reservation:
-VIP status
-Emailed invitation and parental waiver
-Discounted tickets
c) At the door
-Normal price for tickets
-No guarantee to your seating arrangement

6) Table Arrangement:
In the Eyeball, whoever goes there and reserves gets VIP
seating arrangement where the "best" seats (i don't know if there is)
are given. You will be arranged with your friends and people you know
so do not worry.
For those who did not attend the eyeball, you will still be
reserved for the seats, but priority in the seating arrangement go to
the ones who went to the EB.
For those who pay at the door, not only would it be more
expensive but you will seat where the ushers take you to. So it is
wise to pre-reserve.


7) Eyeball Party:
The advantages of the eyeball party: we will give away a nice
printed invitational on the day with your names signed on the
guestbook and your names also nice signed on the invitational.
-you will also get priorities on the seating arrangement.
-more surprises come your way during the eyeball party, so
be there or miss out. :)


8) About Cosplaying
Go ahead, but don't expect a prize afterwards.

9) Why is it an Anime Ball?
Because the guests are from cosplayersworld, pinoycosplay,
weareanime, feata, oav, questor, artfarm, outreach cosplay and other
anime organizations invited by us. It is an event for us to get
together and be in a formal event where we could have fun and at the
same time do the things people up there do.

10) Food <update>
It did change kanina it will be a set menu, we will post the
choices available.
Ernie says the food will be served in different viands. rest assured
it will be a full meal for those big eaters. :)

11) Alcohol
Strictly no alcohol inside the event. Repeat: No alcohol
inside the event.

12) Parental Waiver
For those under 18, we will require a parental waiver signed by
your parents for security reasons. Nothing else. We will inform your
parents that this is a clean, wholesome event. (However your behavior
in the event is in your discretion)
However, if you did not pre-register, we would require you to
bring your phone number in order for us to inform your parents of
your whereabouts, so make sure you made paalam and we will talk to
your parents civilly where you are and what time you will be home. IF
you have a chaperone, good. If not, we have to follow Standard
Operating Procedures.

13) Other Details will be released soon, sorry magulo kami :)

I am happy to announce that I have addedmore photos to my photo
album. Most of them are of the award-winning Gundam Girl costume
sponsored by mecha Pinoy complete with the cartoon from which it was
based. It is interesting to note that they have full photo
documentation of the costume. I have also uploaded another sailor
warrior cosplayers from an american con.

• All film schedules will be followed and will start at the given time.
Given the limited space that Brash Young Cinema (BYC) could only
accommodate, up to only about 30 people will be accomodated per showing.

• Snacks will be served during the showing and during breaks. We recommend
a Pot Luck during the event if you want additional food. Raffle tickets
will also be distributed outside the venue.
