Hey, his post was public wasn't it? :)

Just doing what I can for the cause of good grammar... :)

Kung hindi natin "i-broadcast" ang pagpuna sa mga ganyang post, hindi
tatagos ang leksyon. Dadami pa mga yan!

Though for what its worth, sorry po sa mga na-offend. :)

tinuring niyang kaalyado at kaibigan. Kawawa naman si ERAP.

"So what’s the solution? Get out of the box. Go beyond the limitations
of each religion. Make your own synthesis of your own beliefs, which is
true for you and which you can accept and defend to yourself, not to
others, because others may not agree with you. That doesn’t matter. What
is more important is that your new belief must agree with you and that
you are comfortable with it."

No, that's a non-sequitur.
What the lady implied is that the different religions did not seem to correspond
adequately to the world as she observed it. Her solution was to come up with her
own set of beliefs.
This sounds like her first step in a journey that will probably end at atheism,
if she has the least bit of rationality in her.
The first step of my own journey towards atheism was a step towards agnosticism:
what people believe, or what they claim to believe (how can one tell the
difference?) is completely irrelevant. What matters is only what they do, how
they live.

ban her.

did a quick search. seems to be that her email addy has been banned on a
number of ml.

found the following stuff too:
(1) twitter - no idea if still active. twitter was down or something
(2) wordpress - last post was jan2010 with a copypasta don't quit
(retitled and links to ca2020)
(3) pics - didn't check if ca2020 stuff there. saw some hair-related
stuff
(4) facebook - used diff naming so hard to find at first
(5) seems like she got new phone ~1day ago according to sulit.ph. has 1
ca2020 spam in sulit.ph (could be more)
(6) what company she works for (and location). no ca2020 stuff. but
found a couple on sykes forum from her yahoo address.

other details around the net. too lazy to find. overall, seems to be she
joins ml's and fora to blast ca2020 stuff.

nothing against ca2020 (no clear idea what they are) but i hate the
ca2020 folks who spam ml.

Quick Takes: Anne Rice quits Christianity
July 30, 2010

Anne Rice has had a religious conversion: She's no longer a Christian.

The 68-year-old author wrote Wednesday on her Facebook page that she refuses
to be "anti-gay … anti-feminist" and "anti-artificial birth control."

She added that "In the name of … Christ, I quit Christianity and being
Christian. Amen."

Her publisher, Alfred A. Knopf, confirmed Thursday that the posting was by
Rice.

Rice is best known for "Interview With a Vampire" and other gothic novels.
Raised as a Catholic, she had rejected the church early in her life, but
renewed her faith in recent years and in 2008 released the memoir "Called
Out of Darkness: A Spiritual Confession."

Excerpt from wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne_Rice
Exit from Christianity

On July 29, 2010, Anne publicly renounced her dedication to her Roman
Catholic faith, yet remaining committed to Christ, on her Facebook page
stating;

"For those who care, and I understand if you don’t: Today I quit being a
Christian. I’m out. I remain committed to Christ as always but not to being
“Christian” or to being part of Christianity. It’s simply impossible for me
to “belong” to this quarrelsome, hostile, disputatious, and deservedly
infamous group. For ten years, I’ve tried. I’ve failed. I’m an outsider. My
conscience will allow nothing else."
[16]<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne_Rice#cite_note-15>

following the post a few hours after with

“As I said below, I quit being a Christian. I’m out. In the name of Christ,
I refuse to be anti-gay. I refuse to be anti-feminist. I refuse to be
anti-artificial birth control. I refuse to be anti-Democrat. I refuse to be
anti-secular humanism. I refuse to be anti-science. I refuse to be
anti-life. In the name of Christ, I quit Christianity and being Christian.
Amen.” [17] <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne_Rice#cite_note-16>

She reaffirmed her faith in Christ with a lack of faith in Christianity an
hour or so later with the following post

"My faith in Christ is central to my life. My conversion from a pessimistic
atheist lost in a world I didn't understand, to an optimistic believer in a
universe created and sustained by a loving God is crucial to me. But
following Christ does not mean following His followers. Christ is infinitely
more important than Christianity and always will be, no matter what
Christianity is, has been, or might become."

I hope our local atheists/freethinkers can also get media coverage. I
think our numbers are growing. People may need more awareness.

My wife is a Filipina living here in New Zealand. She has many friends from home
and is deeply involved in the Filipino community in this country. My wife is an
atheist and as you can imagine has to endure a lot of criticism from her friends
and from church officials.
And yet she is not afraid to take a stand and speak her mind.
In New Zealand the churches seem to have a very big influence upon the
Filipinos living here, the churches seem to take advantage of Pinoy living in a
new place.
My wife has been rejected by many of her friends for her views but she said to
me "Darling, that is their choice, I still offer my friendship but I will not be
bound to their beliefs because they say I should"
I salute my wife, please give her your support as she is a lone voice here in
our region.
Best wishes to all. Pete

She is a very brave woman.  Most Filipinos have been brainwashed in religion
from childhood.  I really would like to know how she came out of it.
