This is the Pine Lake Announcements List. This list is intended for disseminating information regarding events and happenings in Pine Lake. Any member may post an announcement to this list, but we ask that you follow the guidelines listed below. Discussion is not appropriate for the list. When posting an announcement, please be sure to list contact information so that any inquires can be made to the appropriate person.

Acceptable announcements include announcements about crime/suspicious activity, meetings, events and performances in Pine Lake and lost cats/found dogs. Announcements for events outside Pine Lake that that directly affect the Pine Lake community would be acceptable as well.

If there is an ongoing event or occurrence, please try to keep updates to once a day.

Announcements that should go to one of the general discussion lists, not here, include announcements about performances outside Pine Lake, things for sale, recommendations for tradespeople, etc. NOTE: Please see the addendum below.

Please trim your posts and keep your subject lines as clear as possible to help those that have little time for reading email.

If you have a question whether an announcement is appropriate, please write to the list owners at pinelakeannounce-owner@yahoogroups.com. And remember that we are your human neighbors and, though we will try to do our best to be fair and reasonable, we may make an error in judgment. If you have concerns, please feel free to discuss them with us. We may change these guidelines as the list matures, but the mission is for this list to be for announcements only.
