Grounded in the Word & Armed               Wednesday, February 2, 2011                                         

The Old Pentecostal people teach a third experience after you are saved.  First of course there is salvation, then the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.  Then there is the third experience, which they call sanctification.  With some error in this teaching, there is some wisdom in it.  When we are saved, the next step should be getting grounded in the Word of God because the battles from satan which are sure to come.  You need to know just how to fight them according to His Word.  You need to learn some basics immediately.  Jesus fought satan with “it is written.”  That is our weapon as well. 

What does the Lord say about salvation?  Learn it.  Then when satan says you couldn’t possibly be saved, you can tell him by the Word of God that you are and you know it for sure.  Next you will probably need to learn about healing, then maybe prosperity or whatever has been a major issue to you. 

You will want to put the Word of God down in your heart.  You will want to be able to face the devil and quote the Word to him in power and authority.  That is grounded in the Word.  It is so much a part of you that you know it.  It is right on the tip of your tongue.  You know it by heart.  In John 15:7, we see the very instructions to be sanctified, established, or grounded in the Word of God.    (Joh 15:7)  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.  (Joh 1:14)  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us...

Use sanctification for establishment.  (1Co 1:30)  But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

(1Th 4:4)  That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

(1Pe 1:2)  Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

(Ephesians 6:10)  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Again here you are armed and dangerous…  You are grounded in the Word of God.  You know just who you are because of Him.  (Ephesians 6:11)  Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

We know how our battle is fought.  It is not with what we can see with our natural eyes, but it is the unseen where the real battle is fought and won. (Ephesians 6:12)  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Have you prepared yourself with the knowledge of just who you are in Christ Jesus?  (Ephesians 6:13)  Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:14)  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;(Ephesians 6:15)  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;(Ephesians 6:16)  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. (Ephesians 6:17)  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:(Ephesians 6:18)  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Your armour consists of: 

1.  Your loins gird about with truth     A.  gird=a harness, a belt, to bind up strongly  B.  Truth…what is truth?  It is the precious Logos or written word of God. 

2.  Breastplate Of Righteousness

Righteousness=Rightstanding by the knowledge and acceptance of the work of Calvary…to know who you are because of Him…

3.  Feed Shod with the Preparation of The Gospel of Peace= Grounded in the knowledge of what He did for you at Calvary.  To be established is another word for being grounded in the Word of God.  (2Ch 20:20)  Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

4.  Shield of faith=Knowing the promises of His scriptures, Romans 10:17  Picture the Roman soldier…Picture the shield in the armor.  It is defensive.  It will deflect the arrows of the enemy’s darts.

5.  Helmet of Salvation=protecting your mind from the attack of Satan

6.  Sword of the Spirit=the battle worthy Word of God

We are instructed to keep our heart diligently…that is where we find life… (Proverbs 4:23)  Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Once we have kept our hearts…what comes out of our mouth will change, too.  If it hasn’t changed, then you need to take a closer look.  You need more of God.

(Proverbs 4:24)  Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.  Froward Mouth=A Perverse Mouth

You have been given power over all the power of the enemy…Luke 10:19…You have authority in the name of Jesus to be set free and to set others free.  All you have to do is make up your mind to get armed every day and be dangerous to satan…

One of the most effective way to please God is to use the word to create just as God did in the first chapter of Genesis.   Go through that chapter and find each time he says speak or said.  Start with verse three, “And God said…”  On and on, God spoke and created.  We were given that same ability and instruction to speak and create in Genesis 1:26.

From the need, they have already formed an orphanage.  They are asking for help raising the money to sustain this orphanage.  They need food to sustain them.  They need all the care that goes with them.  Any specific gifts that go with them or any other, be sure to mark that gift to Napal or to them personally. We know personally the ministry of Tom and Shovanah Laseter in Napal.  We have come to know the prophetic ministry of Deborah & Tom Gliebe, as they worked in Washington, then Hawaii, and then Fiji.  They are headquartered back in Oregon now prophesying for our Lord. She will be with us on Thursday night to share their vision.  They have been in Canada this past weekend.  We have fellowshipped with each ministry extensively.  We have prayed with them when they needed intercession.  We are in contact with them week to week or monthly as needed.  We are available as prophetess for their ministry.  The Lord has told us we will begin supporting them some financially.  These missionaries are real.  This isn’t one of those 90% to manage it and 10% only gets to the actual care of the children.  We know where the money is going.

This is not Burger King and you can’t have it your way.  The Lord is saying we are closer to the end than we have ever before.  His presence is the key that you seek in order for you to obtain the fulness of His promises.  He is calling upon you today to set aside prime time to seek Him with all of your heart.  He wants you to abide in Him as never before.  He wants to abide in you. He is saying that so many of His children want to serve God their own way.  You must seek God His Way and not your way.  That has never worked and it never will.  Back in 2 Samuel, you will find the account of David trying to move the Ark of the Covenant his way.  It did not work.  Yes, moving it was a good thing to do, but it was not being done God’s way.  A man died because he reached to touch it.  No one was ever allowed to touch the Ark of the Covent.  Once David searched the scriptures, he found out God’s way of moving it.  The Lord wants to show you His way of moving those mountains all around you.

(Isa 55:6)  Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:(Isa 55:7)  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. (Isa 55:8)  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. (Isa 55:9)  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isa 55:10)  For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater.  (Isa 55:11)  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.  (Isa 55:12)  For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Seeking God includes:

·         Praying in the Holy Spirit (Jud 1:20) But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.

·         Praying with all your heart.  (Jer 29:13)  And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

·         Praying His Word (1Jn 5:14)  And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.  (1Jn 5:15)  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

·         Confess His Word  (Mar 11:23)  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 

·         Do your part  (Heb 3:1)  Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

·         Confess what should be according to the Will/Word of God.  (Rom 4:17)  ...and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

·         Walk in your God given dominion.  (Gen 1:26)  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

·            Before anything, you must be “in Christ” or a blood washed believer.  You must be seeking Him.  I am talking about a serious believer and not a ho/hum kind of believer.  (Act 16:31)  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

·         You must be a doer of the word, not just a hearer.  (Jas 1:22)  But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.  Unless you are a doer of the Word (in action, in the way you live, in what you confess, in the Word you obey), then you will find yourself in deception.  In James 1:23 it explains it even further.  You will become like an image of a Christian and not the real deal.

·         When your prayers remain unanswered, when you know that it is God’s will, don’t try to blame God.  Either you are missing God somewhere or it is not the timing of God as yet. 

The Lord also wants me to talk with you about finances.  Some of you want to bristle up anytime that finances are mentioned.  You attitude will not change the fact that it is in the Word of God.  He provided for our financial needs and even desires.  He promised us well being, even prosperity in that area.  (Prosperity=plenty for your needs and plenty to share)  Read Deuteronomy 28:1-14.  If you will also look in your concordance you will find several promises and instructions about vows, seed giving, giving by faith, giving by the Holy Spirit unction, giving the required 10% plus offerings.  Offerings are mentioned 265 times in the Word.  Does it not deserve our attention?  If you were to sit where I sit for a few days, you would find that probably 75% of prayer requests include prayer for financial needs.  I know that the Lord has provided for our financial needs and more.  Since we are supposed to pray according to the Word of God, then let’s obey God and pray what He has to say about finances. 

Since He is the high priest of our professions, then He is taking those requests right to the throne of God.  Don’t think asking is all you have to do.  You still have to be obedient to God’s word.  When He tells you to give an offering to your church, a widow lady down the street, or another ministry that feeds you, you must be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only.  It takes giving.   It takes confessing within the anointing of dominion that He has given you.  It takes building your faith to know the truth and then act on it.  Speak according to His Word.  Walk according to His Word.  Give according to His Word.  Teach according to His Word.  Prophesy according to His Word.  Receive according to His Word.

Do it God’s way.  This isn’t Burger King!  You can’t have it your way.

Rebellion is as the Sin of Witchcraft     Classic      Friday, February 04, 2011

Some people think that if they stay away from I Dream of Jeanie or Bewitched, they are safe from witchcraft.  Witchcraft is a very real practice of the worship of satan or following of satan’s will.  Rebellion and witchcraft are very wrong.  (Jas 4:17)  Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Witchcraft or the followers of satan take on many different forms.  Satan uses all these different forms of religion to confuse you into participating in ignorance of the Word of God. 

(Joh 8:32)  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Knowledge of the Word and the expose’ of satan will bring you freedom and deliverance.  Study this information.

• Let’s begin with Rebellion.  Rebellion to the Word of God=witchcraft or the following of satan.  (1 Samuel 15:23)  For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.  Rebellion or disobedience to parents is witchcraft. 

• We are instructed in the Word of God that God comes first.  Nothing or anyone can be ahead of God.   God is a jealous God because He loves you and He knows what is good for you  This is not a demonic jealousy but a Godly jealousy.  He only wants what is best for you.  (Exo 20:3)  Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

• We are instructed to make no images to worship.  Do you realize that you could worship football, golf, or money for example?  (Exo 20:4)  Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.  Ask yourself what comes first in your heart.

• God must always come first.  Our decision here can effect up to our great grandchildren or great-great grandchildren. In Deut 30:19, life and death, blessing and cursing is put before us.  We are told to choose life.  That is what we are doing every time that we choose God will instead of satan’s will.  We are choosing not only for ourselves, but for future generations as well. (Exo 20:5)  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

• That which we allow our minds to dwell upon, will become what we are…  In other words our thinking will wind up manifesting in our lives.  (Pro 23:7)  For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…

• The enemy uses lack of knowledge to cause us to stumble.  (Pro 4:19)  The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. (Hos 4:6)  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...

• When you think of attending, you think of the waiter or servant who stands nearby to see and take care of any need of the person they are serving.  We are to stay nearby His will. We make it a practice to hear His Word and keep it in front of your eyes.  We also commit His Word to heart.  In other Words memorize it by heart.  (Pro 4:20)  My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.  (Pro 4:21)  Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

• His Word is life and health to us. (Pro 4:22)  For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

• When we keep our hearts diligently, life comes from it.  This is why we are instructed to keep any form of witchcraft far from us.  It will break you down little by little.  (Pro 4:23)  Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

• You cannot separate wrong confessions from witchcraft.  Wrong confessions are rebellion.  Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.  (Pro 4:24)  Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.

• Protecting your heart and your tongue from speaking anything that does not line up with the Word of God, will help keep you in HIM.  (Pro 4:25)  Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

When children rebel against their parents, they are operating in the sin of witchcraft.  When men or women that refuse to be obedient to the rules on the job, they are in witchcraft.  When you disobey the word of God, you are operating in witchcraft.  Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.  Rebellion and witchcraft are the same thing.

Why are we talking about this?  Because we don’t want to be fooled by satan.  We want to make it a practice to be obedient to the will and the Word of God.  This is obedience to God.  Any type of rebellion brings us into following satan.

(Jas 4:17)  Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

(1Jn 4:18)  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

A while back, I read an article which I was unable to locate today.   I recall this article was speaking of  two studies in the United States of family trees.  In one family, the man was a Christian and in the other he was a non-Christian.  Through the years, the Christian man’s family tree produced, a vice president, several congressmen, hundreds of doctors, ministers and teachers over a two hundred year period.  Not one time in the two hundred year span did this family live on welfare or take public assistance.  When they studied the family tree of the non Christian, several committed murder.  There were over 100 who were on welfare or public assistance.  Two hundred or more spent their lives in prison as the cost of the American people.  There were horse thieves, hookers, bank robbers, and mafia from this family.  So you see your choice to accept Jesus and walk away from rebellion and witchcraft will bring deliverance to your family and place you on the side of God’s blessings.  You cannot personally change what has happened in the past, but you can change the future.  You can be the first of a right choice for your family.   Rebellion is witchcraft.  When you choose God’s ways, it will change not only your life, but the lives of future family members.

Withstanding a Shaking

Everything that can be shaken will be shaken.  I have heard that message preached since I was a child.  The Word bears that statement out just as many other statements we can prove out in His Word.  He promised to shake the Christians and see who remains in 2011.  He has said there will be more leaders to fall in 2011.  The Lord will raise up His leaders.  They will come from those who refused to compromise. 

There is a continual shaking going on the Church, but there is God’s timing for shaking.  Three years ago the Lord began to speak to me about the changing of the guards and a shaking in the Church.  It was such a powerful Word of the Lord when He gave it, I didn’t realize that it would take several years to come to pass fully.  I have seen many go home to be with the Lord and God knows there has been a shaking.  I know that there will be more this year.  Some will be shocking.  As I have observed recently dozens of our classmates have gone home early.  I don’t know if this is above the national average or not.  We don’t know just when we will be called home to be with the Lord.  You just must keep tuned in and turned on to His will, His perfect will and nothing but His perfect will.  One of the sins of the United States has been their gradual refusal to get married any more.  They want to be free to walk out.  This is not God’s plan and never was.  Having sex to someone you are not married to is a sin either it is adultery or fornication.  When Jesus met the woman at the well, he told her she had five husbands and the one she had right then didn’t belong to her.  This is a sin that we the body of Christ must continue to take to God in prayer.  We must wage war against that demon.  Many of my generation (baby boomers) made some really big mistakes.  There was a hippy movement, free love movement and rebellion.  They saw many hypocrisies in their parents and have done in most cases worse than their parents.  Sadly now the children of the baby boomer age now are the grandparents and sometimes even great grandparents.  Remember when we rebelled against our parents?  Smoking and chewing gum was about the biggest behavioral problem in our high school.  Now there are guns and knives.  Many schools need metal detectors and don’t have them.  Maybe you think all of this is just terrible.  It is.  But… there is a shaking about to take place.  He will separate the chaff from the wheat Himself.  Some people have been sitting in the Church house on Sunday or whatever day you go and saying Amen, Praise the Lord.  Then they go out and watch porno on the internet and tell dirty jokes at work.  They think that showing up on Sunday will cleanse them of all their sins.  It will not.  Applying the blood of Jesus to a repentant heart will cleanse your sins.

There are scriptures that tell us that there is a timing of shaking coming.  There have been shakings that have marked many prominent things in the body of Christ.  In Neh 5:13, it was a prophesy of the coming shaking of the Lord.  He is shaking things right now because the office of the prophet must remain pure so that they keep their ear to the floor to hear what the Spirit of God is saying to this church which is being shaken. (Neh 5:13)  Also I shook my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labour, that performeth not this promise, even thus be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and praised the LORD. And the people did according to this promise.

Do not follow any prophet into sin.  When me or any other prophet or prophetess tries to tell you something which cannot be proven with scripture, you are responsible to not receive it.  (1Th 5:12)  And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;  (1Th 5:13)  And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

The only way to be sure that you know what is and is not “thus saith the Lord” is found in the scripture.  Memorize it.  Do it.  Put it up in your house to remind you when you get discouraged to get back into the Word of God and wash your mind once more.

(Rom 12:2)  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

In Acts 4:31, the place was first shaken, then they were all filled with the Holy Ghost. Being filled with the Holy Spirit was the great empowerment which the Lord sent to us to be with us for as long as we are still on this earth.  You must be filled with the Spirit of God and you must stay filled.  You see you can’t just get into the Word of God without the Spirit of God.  (Act 4:31)  And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the Word of God with boldness.

This one is telling you that there is no reason for you to miss out on God’s best.  When you do what you know to do and quit allowing the devil to take over and use you and your mouth, then the shaking for you can stop some.  If we don’t do what we know to do such as stay “in Christ” and in His Word then you can easy be picked off by the fiery darts of the enemy.   (2Th 2:2)  That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.  Note here that spirit, word or letter was as from the disciples.

This verse tells it just like it is.  When a storm passes over all the dead leaves and branches are washed away.  When this storm passes over your life, stay close to the Father.  Keep your heart in an attitude of being “in Christ” at all times.  I warn you out of all the love I possess.  Become an actor of God’s Words of faith and not a re-actor of the circumstances that are all around you.  Re-act when the world happens around and to you, don’t react in the world.   (Heb 12:27)  And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

If you have been disappointed in your own actions recently, then repent.  Turn yourself back over to God.  He is still there to forgive.  He wants you to walk in His faith.  I mean walk forgiven.

Understanding the Prophetic   Tuesday, February 07, 2011

(Part 1 of 2)

The Church is in the process of walking through some things that it has never been through before in these last day.  God has brought the prophetic gift forward because of our need to hear from God in these last days.  I believe that we are in the last of the last days.  I am giving you today a  prophetic teaching that will help you to understand what the Lord is doing in the body right now.  You must understand the prophetic gift.  There are true prophets and false prophets.  Read Romans 12:2.    

Prophets were called seers in olden times…

1 Samuel 9:9 (KJV) ⁹ (Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to enquire of God, thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the seer: for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.) 2 Samuel 24:11-12 (NKJV)
¹¹ Now when David arose in the morning, the word of the Lord came to the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying, ¹² "Go and tell David, 'Thus says the Lord: "I offer you three things; choose one of them for yourself, that I may do it to you."

2 Kings 17:13 (NKJV) ¹³ Yet the Lord testified against Israel and against Judah, by all of His prophets, every seer, saying, "Turn from your evil ways, and keep My commandments and My statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by My servants the prophets."

The number #1 job of all prophets is to turn you back to the Lord…

A function of the Prophets or Seers:   appoint people into their office…

1 Chronicles 9:22 (NKJV) ²² All those chosen as gatekeepers were two hundred and twelve. They were recorded by their genealogy, in their villages. David and Samuel the seer had appointed them to their trusted office.

Again,  In these two verses, it shows a function of the prophet was recording in the book…1 Chronicles 29:29 (NKJV)²⁹ Now the acts of King David, first and last, indeed they are written in the book of Samuel the Seer, in the book of Nathan the Prophet, and in the book of Gad the Seer,

2 Chronicles 12:15 (NKJV) ¹⁵ The acts of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not written in the book of Shemaiah the Prophet, and of Iddo the Seer concerning genealogies? And there were wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all their days.

These verses show us that there have always been people who refused to hear the Word of the Lord…Unless it was what we call a bless me club…and not harsh…

Isaiah 30:10 (NKJV) ¹⁰ Who say to the Seers, "Do not see," And to the Prophets, "Do not prophesy to us right things; Speak to us smooth things, prophesy s. Isaiah 30:10 (NLT) ¹⁰ They tell the Prophets, "Shut up! We don't want any more of your reports." They say, "Don't tell us the truth. Tell us nice things. Tell us lies.

Wherever you have the real deal, you also have false prophecy….You have to remember how Satan works…He has no authority…He has to trick you into using yours…therefore, he is a master of false prophesy…

Micah 3:7 (NKJV) ⁷ So the seers shall be ashamed, And the diviners abashed; Indeed they shall all cover their lips; For there is no answer from God."
Micah 3:7 (NLT) ⁷ Then you Seers will cover your faces in shame, and you diviners will be disgraced. And you will admit that your messages were not from God."

There were schools of Prophets recorded in the Word…to teach Prophets…Obviously, just because you are called to the office, you still have to grow into it Spiritually…there were many situations put into the Bible as examples by which we are to learn…

1 Kings 20:35-43 (NLT) ³⁵ Meanwhile, the LORD instructed one of the group of prophets to say to another man, "Strike me!" But the man refused to strike the prophet. ³⁶ Then the prophet told him, "Because you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, a lion will kill you as soon as you leave me." And sure enough, when he had gone, a lion attacked and killed him.³⁷ Then the prophet turned to another man and said, "Strike me!" So he struck the prophet and wounded him.
³⁸ The prophet waited for the king beside the road, having placed a bandage over his eyes to disguise himself. ³⁹ As the king passed by, the prophet called out to him, "Sir, I was in the battle, and a man brought me a prisoner. He said, `Guard this man; if for any reason he gets away, you will either die or pay a fine of seventy-five pounds of silver!' ⁴⁰ But while I was busy doing something else, the prisoner disappeared!" "Well, it's your own fault," the king replied. "You have determined your own judgment." ⁴¹ Then the prophet pulled the bandage from his eyes, and the king of Israel recognized him as one of the prophets.
⁴² And the prophet told him, "This is what the LORD says: Because you have spared the man I said must be destroyed, now you must die in his place, and your people will die instead of his people." ⁴³ So the king of Israel went home to Samaria angry and sullen.

More lessons for the students…

2 Kings 2:2-15 (NKJV) ² Then Elijah said to Elisha, "Stay here, please, for the Lord has sent me on to Bethel." But Elisha said, "As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!" So they went down to Bethel.
³ Now the sons of the prophets who were at Bethel came out to Elisha, and said to him, "Do you know that the Lord will take away your master from over you today?" And he said, "Yes, I know; keep silent!" ⁴ Then Elijah said to him, "Elisha, stay here, please, for the Lord has sent me on to Jericho." But he said, "As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!" So they came to Jericho.
⁵ Now the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho came to Elisha and said to him, "Do you know that the Lord will take away your master from over you today?" So he answered, "Yes, I know; keep silent!" ⁶ Then Elijah said to him, "Stay here, please, for the Lord has sent me on to the Jordan." But he said, "As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!" So the two of them went on. ⁷ And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went and stood facing them at a distance, while the two of them stood by the Jordan.
⁸ Now Elijah took his mantle, rolled it up, and struck the water; and it was divided this way and that, so that the two of them crossed over on dry ground.
⁹ And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, "Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?" Elisha said, "Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me." ¹⁰ So he said, You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so." ¹¹ Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. ¹² And Elisha saw it, and he cried out, "My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!" So he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them into two pieces. ¹³ He also took up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan. ¹⁴ Then he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water, and said, "Where is the Lord God of Elijah?" And when he also had struck the water, it was divided this way and that; and Elisha crossed over. ¹⁵ Now when the sons of the prophets who were from Jericho saw him, they said, "The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha." And they came to meet him, and bowed to the ground before him.

This next verse is about a woman who had been married to one of the young Prophetic students. ..She knew she could call on God’s help since her husband had been faithful to God…

2 Kings 4:1 (NKJV)  A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, "Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves."

There was a miracle done for the sons of the prophets, or the prophets in training…Prophets had to be trained back then and now…

2 Kings 4:38 (NKJV) ³⁸ And Elisha returned to Gilgal, and there was a famine in the land. Now the sons of the prophets were sitting before him; and he said to his servant, "Put on the large pot, and boil stew for the sons of the prophets."

2 Kings 9:1 (NKJV) ¹ And Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets, and said to him, "Get yourself ready, take this flask of oil in your hand, and go to Ramoth Gilead.

Many times God is teaching us to hear His voice…

Prophets also had the function of being a counselor to the kings…

Isaiah 37:2-3 (NKJV) ² Then he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz. ³ And they said to him, "Thus says Hezekiah: 'This day is a day of trouble and rebuke and blasphemy; for the children have come to birth, but there is no strength to bring them forth.

Prophets are often not recognized or honored around their own hometown areas… Matthew 13:57 (NKJV)⁵⁷ So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house."

Luke 4:24-27 (NKJV) ²⁴ Then He said, "Assuredly, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country. ²⁵ But I tell you truly, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, and there was a great famine throughout all the land; ²⁶ but to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath, in the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow. ²⁷ And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian."

John 4:44 (NKJV) ⁴⁴ For Jesus Himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.

Some prophets were inspired by angels…

Zechariah 1:9 (NKJV) ⁹ Then I said, "My lord, what are these?" So the angel who talked with me said to me, "I will show you what they are."

Zechariah 1:13 (NKJV) ¹³ And the Lord answered the angel who talked to me, with good and comforting Lords.

Zechariah 1:14 (NKJV) ¹⁴ So the angel who spoke with me said to me, Proclaim, saying, 'Thus says the Lord of hosts: "I am zealous for Jerusalem And for Zion with great zeal.

Zechariah 1:19 (NKJV)
¹⁹ And I said to the angel who talked with me, "What are these?" So he answered me, "These are the horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem."

Acts 7:53 (NKJV)
⁵³ who have received the law by the direction of angels and have not kept it."

Galatians 3:19 (NKJV)
¹⁹ What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator.

Sometimes Prophets were persecuted…today, it is the same…

2 Chronicles 36:16 (NKJV) ¹⁶ But they mocked the messengers of God, despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against His people, till there was no remedy.

I know I didn't cause that but it was difficult to shake it off. It was like the devil saying to me who do you think you are? Well in and of myself nothing but in Christ I'm more than a conqueror... 8.     (Submitted by Donna R.) Like yourselves, I am greatly distressed about the situation in the Middle East. Below is a word to the Christians in the Middle East and the worldwide church, along with a prayer guide for Egypt and the Middle East. There are certain things that I have not written to all, but I believe that the Muslim Brotherhood is behind much of this, or at least taking advantage of it. As you may know, Mubarak just announced today that he will not seek re-election. We must continue to pray for stability in Egypt, for a peaceful transition that will not result in leadership by the Muslim Brotherhood and Sharia law. Pray for Jordan as well, that the people will stand with the king and that this unrest across the Middle East will not result in an Islamic Caliphate being established.  Below are also several articles along with a video link that will bring further insight regarding the seriousness of what’s happening in Egypt and the goals of the Muslim Brotherhood. 17.   Submitted By George Parker…update on Australian Cyclone…The cyclone has passed and have contacted my relations, and they are well.  Their towns have held up well, but lost a few windows and all the trees are stripped bare.  They all said they had never heard wind like it, nothing like all the other cyclones that they had experienced.  They said the wind sounded like a 747 engine at full
bore outside of the bedroom window. only one relation i haven't been able to contact, and I guess the phone line is down.  There are at least three towns that will possibly be nearly demolished.

20.  "I am claiming healing for our 25 year old son, Stephen Lee Reichelderfer, who is in intensive care on a respirator. First he was rushed into surgery with air in his abdomen, then he developed pneumonia and fluid filled both of his lungs, and now one lung has collapsed. Nobody is allowed to visit right now and he is exhibiting some serious behaviors.

21.  It is possible that Stephen is suffering withdrawal or that he may even have been drugged or poisoned. As a mother and father who love our family very much, I am standing in the gap for him and I plead the blood of Jesus over him. I claim his healing, and I take authority over every plan of Satan and I command Satan to take his filthy lying deceitful hands off of my son. I speak complete healing to Stephen." ~Tony

22.  My friend's daughter shot herself Sunday morning while her children were at church. The husband was home 2. The funeral was yesterday. Pray 4 the family. Her aunt said she was on meds 4 depression 4 2 months. She had everything 2 live 4, including Jesus. So sad. I knew her personally. ~Drena

25.  Requests by R S…  I really need some prayer I have been doing battle with a relationship that I had to let go of...This relationship did involve sexual sin that I was involve in with a guy I was in love a lot. I have repented but this man is so heavy on my mind and heart. I have severed soul ties over and over I have come against demonic oppression. I feel so drawn to him in a romantic sexual way. I love him but I don’t want  too...I want out of this please pray with me his name is ,,,.  Please curse this relationship he keeps popping back in my life and I still care so much for him. I  feel confused even tormented in my heart. At one point I even prayed for him as my mate but he is not a Christian now I just want freedom from this BOND to him.

26.   Request from D…My husband, M…  had me served with divorce papers this morning. I have been standing on the Word. You and I and many others have come into agreement that this divorce would not take place. I don't understand what to do next. I cannot (change confession to “was not able to”) work due to just breaking my back and neck related injuries that may require further surgery. I don't have (Change confession to “have not had”) any money of my own and my son is (change confession to was making my truck payments as I can't right (Confession to when I could not) now. He is using it to go to school. He and his wife moved in with us a few weeks ago. She is pregnant. He has been diagnosed with PTSD from being in the Army. I need prayer. I am (confession to “have been”) feeling a bit shaken by all this and am not sure who I'm hearing from. I need clarity of mind and lots of wisdom. I know I need to "suck it up" but right now my heart is totally shattered... My husband and I have been sharing the same bed and living like husband and wife, like nothing's going on... He tells me how much he loves me and always will...   But it must all still  boil down to his love of alcohol and money... I did not earn my keep... How sad.... God called him to preach after I laid hands on him and he was slain in the spirit 23 years ago... I heard God's audible voice before we even met while I was praying in the chapel at church... He said He was preparing him for me... That was over 23 years ago... God ordered our steps and supernaturally put us together... Please tell me what is going on here?   

27.                       Request by R… I have been having a series of what seem like warning visions. And I have been feeling a warning prompting in my spirit. Also, recently I asked God to take me into my destiny re my work with sex trafficked victims. I also broke up with my boyfriend... I feel unsettled in my spirit about it. Also, I know that working with sex trafficked victims is fraught with danger. So, I'm feeling warnings on both these fronts.  Needs clarity for several visions from the Lord.

The Heimlich Maneuver did not dislodge the piece of meat. The ambulance took from Great Falls to Kalispell hospital where the meat was removed and he went into cardiac arrest. He was transferred to Community Hospital in…. Right now the doctors are testing him for brain function and he is on full life support. There has been some opposition from the enemy over prayer for this child's life, blatant opposition. Pray that God will show Himself mighty on this boy's behalf.  God Bless  Rev V… Monta

Understanding the Prophetic   (Part 2 of 2)     Wednesday, February 09, 2011

This is the second half of this Word from the Lord.  You need to study all this material.  It is urgent for every serious believer.  The Church is in the process of walking through some things that it has never been through before in these last day.  God has brought the prophetic gift forward because of our need to hear from God in these last days.  I believe that we are in the last of the last days.  I am giving you today a prophetic teaching that will help you to understand what the Lord is doing in the body right now.  You must understand the prophetic gift.  There are true prophets and false prophets.  Read Romans 12:2.    

Sometimes Prophets were persecuted. Today, it is still the same.

2 Chronicles 36:16 (NKJV) ¹⁶ But they mocked the messengers of God, despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against His people, till there was no remedy.

Amos 2:12 (NKJV) ¹² "But you gave the Nazirites wine to drink, And commanded the prophets saying, 'Do not prophesy!'

Sometimes Prophets were martyrs.

Jeremiah 2:30

Matthew 23:37

Mark 12:5

Luke 13:34

1 Thessalonians 2:15

Hebrews 11:37

Revelation 16:6

Usually He asks you to live for Him, but sometimes He will require your death.

Sometimes there were benefits to being a Prophet.

It has always been a custom to bring a gift when inquiring of the man of God.

1 Samuel 9:7-8 (NKJV) ⁷ Then Saul said to his servant, "But look, if we go, what shall we bring the man? For the bread in our vessels is all gone, and there is no present to bring to the man of God. What do we have?" ⁸ And the servant answered Saul again and said, "Look, I have here at hand one fourth of a shekel of silver. I will give that to the man of God, to tell us our way."

1 Kings 14:3 (NKJV) ³ Also take with you ten loaves, some cakes, and a jar of honey, and go to him; he will tell you what will become of the child."

2 Kings 4:42 (NKJV) ⁴² Then a man came from Baal Shalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley bread, and newly ripened grain in his knapsack. And he said, "Give it to the people, that they may eat."

2 Kings 8:8-9 (NKJV) ⁸ And the king said to Hazael, "Take a present in your hand, and go to meet the man of God, and inquire of the Lord by him, saying, 'Shall I recover from this disease?' " ⁹ So Hazael went to meet him and took a present with him, of every good thing of Damascus, forty camel-loads; and he came and stood before him, and said, "Your son Ben-Hadad king of Syria has sent me to you, saying, 'Shall I recover from this disease?'

 
Ezekiel 13:19 (NKJV) ¹⁹ And will you profane Me among My people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, killing people who should not die, and keeping people alive who should not live, by your lying to My people who listen to lies?"

At the direction of the Lord, Prophets sometimes refused gifts.  Sometimes, we are supposed to refuse them.

Numbers 22:18 (NKJV) ¹⁸ Then Balaam answered and said to the servants of Balak, "Though Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not go beyond the word of the Lord my God, to do less or more.

1 Kings 13:7-8 (NKJV) ⁷ Then the king said to the man of God, "Come home with me and refresh yourself, and I will give you a reward."⁸ But the man of God said to the king, "If you were to give me half your house, I would not go in with you; nor would I eat bread nor drink water in this place.

2 Kings 5:5 (NKJV) ⁵ Then the king of Syria said, "Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel." So he departed and took with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold, and ten changes of clothing.

2 Kings 5:16 (NKJV) ¹⁶ But he said, "As the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will receive nothing." And he urged him to take it, but he refused.

False Prophets do exist.  

When God speaks to you, you better pay attention. When a false prophet comes along and lies, don’t obey them. (no matter how convenient)

1 Kings 13:11-26 (NKJV) ¹¹ Now an old prophet dwelt in Bethel, and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel; they also told their father the words which he had spoken to the king.
¹² And their father said to them, "Which way did he go?" For his sons had seen which way the man of God went who came from Judah. ¹³ Then he said to his sons, "Saddle the donkey for me." So they saddled the donkey for him; and he rode on it,¹⁴ and went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak. Then he said to him, "Are you the man of God who came from Judah?" And he said, "I am." ¹⁵ Then he said to him, "Come home with me and eat bread."
¹⁶ And he said, "I cannot return with you nor go in with you; neither can I eat bread nor drink water with you in this place. ¹⁷ For I have been told by the word of the Lord, 'You shall not eat bread nor drink water there, nor return by going the way you came.' " ¹⁸ He said to him, "I too am a prophet as you are, and an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord, saying, 'Bring him back with you to your house, that he may eat bread and drink water.' "(He was lying to him.)
¹⁹ So he went back with him, and ate bread in his house, and drank water.
²⁰ Now it happened, as they sat at the table, that the word of the Lord came to the prophet who had brought him back; ²¹ and he cried out to the man of God who came from Judah, saying, "Thus says the Lord: 'Because you have disobeyed the word of the Lord, and have not kept the commandment which the Lord your God commanded you, ²² but you came back, ate bread, and drank water in the place of which the Lord said to you, "Eat no bread and drink no water," your corpse shall not come to the tomb of your fathers.' " ²³ So it was, after he had eaten bread and after he had drunk, that he saddled the donkey for him, the prophet whom he had brought back. ²⁴ When he was gone, a lion met him on the road and killed him. And his corpse was thrown on the road, and the donkey stood by it. The lion also stood by the corpse. ²⁵ And there, men passed by and saw the corpse thrown on the road, and the lion standing by the corpse. Then they went and told it in the city where the old prophet dwelt. ²⁶ Now when the prophet who had brought him back from the way heard it, he said, "It is the man of God who was disobedient to the word of the Lord. Therefore the Lord has delivered him to the lion, which has torn him and killed him, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke to him."

God showed them, it was a false prophecy.  Remember wherever there  is the real deal and there is a counterfeit.

Nehemiah 6:12 (NKJV)¹² Then I perceived that God had not sent him at all, but that he pronounced this “prophecy” against me because Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.

Some false prophets prophesy lies in His name.

Jeremiah 23:25-27 (NKJV) ²⁵ "I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy lies in My name, saying, 'I have dreamed, I have dreamed!' ²⁶ How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? Indeed they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart, ²⁷ who try to make My people forget My name by their dreams which everyone tells his neighbor, as their fathers forgot My name for Baal.

If the person abides in the Lord, the Lord will show him if it is a true or false, if we are sincerely looking for the right answer. (Matthew 24:24)  For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Yes, there were false prophets.

Jeremiah 23:30-32 (NKJV)³⁰ "Therefore behold, I am against the prophets," says the Lord, "who steal My words every one from his neighbor. ³¹ Behold, I am against the prophets," says the Lord, "who use their tongues and say, 'He says.'
³² Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams," says the Lord, "and tell them, and cause My people to err by their lies and by their recklessness. Yet I did not send them or command them; therefore they shall not profit this people at all," says the Lord.

There are warnings to false prophets.

Deuteronomy 13:1-5 (NKJV)¹ "If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, ² and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, 'Let us go after other gods'--which you have not known--'and let us serve them,' ³ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.⁴ You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice, and you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him. ⁵ But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has spoken in order to turn you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of bondage, to entice you from the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. So you shall put away the evil from your midst. It can be punished by death…

Deuteronomy 18:20 (NKJV) ²⁰ But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.'

Jeremiah 14:15 (NKJV) ¹⁵ Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who prophesy in My name, whom I did not send, and who say, 'Sword and famine shall not be in this land'--'By sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed!

The Punishments of the false Prophets

Jeremiah 14:13-16 (NKJV) ¹³ Then I said, "Ah, Lord God! Behold, the prophets say to them, 'You shall not see the sword, nor shall you have famine, but I will give you assured peace in this place.' "¹⁴ And the Lord said to me, "The prophets prophesy lies in My name. I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart.¹⁵ Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who prophesy in My name, whom I did not send, and who say, 'Sword and famine shall not be in this land'--'By sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed! ¹⁶ And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; they will have no one to bury them--them nor their wives, their sons nor their daughters--for I will pour their wickedness on them.'

There were 400 prophets in Samaria

1 Kings 22:6-12 (NKJV) ⁶ Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said to them, "Shall I go against Ramoth Gilead to fight, or shall I refrain?" So they said, "Go up, for the Lord will deliver it into the hand of the king." ⁷ And Jehoshaphat said, "Is there not still a prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of Him?" ⁸ So the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "There is still one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the Lord; but I hate him, because he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil." And Jehoshaphat said, "Let not the king say such things!" ⁹ Then the king of Israel called an officer and said, "Bring Micaiah the son of Imlah quickly!"¹⁰ The king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, having put on their robes, sat each on his throne, at a threshing floor at the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them. ¹¹ Now Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah had made horns of iron for himself; and he said, "Thus says the Lord: 'With these you shall gore the Syrians until they are destroyed.'¹² And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, "Go up to Ramoth Gilead and prosper, for the Lord will deliver it into the king's hand."

There were many prophets were not spoken of by their name.

A final point about prophets…  This scripture was given in the New Testament under the New Church age.  Therefore we must conclude that they are for this church age.  We are now living in the church age…We have need of the Holy Ghost.  We have need of all the offices that God gave us so that we can grow up in the Word of God.  We will need these offices of leadership until we all have attained or reached perfection.  Ephesians 4:11 (NKJV)¹¹ And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

How do you determine if someone is a false prophet?

Questions to ask yourself

1. Does what they prophesy come to pass?
2. Does it line up with the Word of God?
3. Does it agree with the ways of God?
4. Does the prophet possess the fruit of the spirit?
5. Do they follow God or the devil?

Remember:

 Prophets have to learn to hear His voice, they can make mistakes, but some deliberately try to Prophesy falsehoods. (2 Cor. 3:18 changed glory to glory)

Sometimes, a prophet can prophesy correctly, but the person chooses not to obey God. (the story of Jonah)

Prophets can be right on for years, and then walk away from God.  Everything that they say must continue to line up with the Word of God.  (1Jn 2:24)  Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. (1Jn 2:25)  And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. (1Jn 2:26)  These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. (1Jn 2:27)  But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Is the Old Man Dead

When you are born again, the old you has died, the NEW you has come alive.    Jesus died on the cross for your sins and to give you freedom from those sins. You are then in righteousness and eligible for all the promises of God.   That old man is dead and the new man is alive in Christ and therefore now eligible for the “have it more abundantly” we find in John 10:10.  There are thousands of those promises you are now eligible for.  They are not for you unless you are in Christ.  If you (Is the old man dead?) are in Christ, then you are forgiven and changed (new man).  Many of the promises are conditional.  For example, (Ephesians 6:2) Honor thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise.  It is no wonder that we can be defeated for lack of knowledge.  (Hosea 4:6)  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...  In Luke 6:38, it says “give and it shall be given unto you.”  If you are not a giver, you can be a receiver either and it won’t be given unto you.  In Psalms 1 He told us we have to meditate in His law day and night, then He can make our way prosperous or give us good success.

I am not talking about just making heaven, which of course is our #1 goal.  We were told in (John 10:10) The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.  God is not just concerned with your just making heaven, but in having a little bit of heaven to go to heaven in… LIFE AND LIFE ABUNDANT.  I have heard people say “I would die for him.”  But the question is will you LIVE for Him?

The “have it more abundantly” that He is talking about in John 10:10 is talking about your life on this earth.  He never intended you to be miserable and just hang on by your chinny-chin-chin until that “someday” when you are home with Him.  No!  He came to give us that promised life in heaven and abundant life right here on earth.

Does that get you out of trials and tribulations, problems, and needs?  Of Course not!  But it means He has a way for you to take dominion over every challenge you face. 

Remember when the children of Israel arrived at the promised land, they found there were giants in the land.  They didn’t just have a party and then sit down in their ease, because they had arrived at their destination.  It had been a mighty promise which had been fulfilled.  It was done in the Spirit when God said that it was.  It did not materialize for them until they acted on the Word of God.  They still had to take dominion just like God had taught them by the law of dominion that He had instituted back in Genesis 1:26.   They had to fight the battle, Jesus was the one who won the battle for them.  Our fighting the battle is a battle that is in our minds now.  We have to control our thinking.  We have to train ourselves to think what God wants about any situation.  Then those thoughts will become our actions. 

Moses sent out twelve spies.  When the spies came back with their reports, Joshua and Caleb had good reports.  Caleb’s report is our lesson for today.  It is our part in what we are living to become “doers of the Word, and not hearers only.”  (Numbers 13:30)  And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

One more important revelation here.  In (Mark 16:20)  And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.  (1) They were doers of the Word, they preached or spoke what God said.  (2) The Lord brought the materializations to confirm that what He said was true. 

It is the same thing with us.  We change our thinking, feed our faith not our doubts and speak what God says, then He is responsible for the materializations.  We have activated the Word of God, when we spoke it.  That is the new man at work.  The new man can activate the Word of God by speaking it under the unction of the Holy Spirit because the natural man is dead.  The Spiritual man is now alive in Christ.

(2 Corinthians 5:17)  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

(Galatians 2:20)  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

(Galatians 2:21)  I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

What is God telling you today?  If you have put it under the blood and repented, then start fresh.  God has forgotten it already.  That was the old man that did that.  Let the new man take over now.  God is the God of new beginnings.  We have a supernatural God that does supernatural things.  He causes a new birth in us.  He causes a new creation.  That new creation is YOU.  Step out into today changed.   It is His righteousness that changes us.  And say it with me now,  “WE ARE WELL ABLE TO OVERCOME THIS THING TODAY!”

Favor  of the Lord

Prophetic Word today… Favor, favor, favor… There is a Spirit of Favor that is now loosed upon the body of Christ.  (Psa 102:13)  Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. 

You will see many miracles now  come forth that you have stood for, for a very long time.  Stand in the position of expectation. Joshua and Caleb had a good report.  They made the decision to believe that I am capable and I will do it.  I did it for them according to my promises.  According to their choice of faith, they saw my promised land.  I will do it for you right now.  You must choose faith.  You must choose to accept my promises by faith. Choose the correct report.  This is a faith choice.   It is now saith the Lord.  Give when I say give.  Act on My Word, when I say act on it.  Stay fed and empowered on the Word, the Rhema Word of God.  My favor, my empowerment, my glory is upon you, even now.  Thus saith the Lord.

(Mal 3:10)  Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.  (Mal 3:11)  And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. (Mal 3:12)  And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

I choose to find the favor of the Lord.  (Pro 8:35)  For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.

Since I choose favor, favor encircles me just as a shield would encircle me.  I am totally surrounded by His protection of favor.  I have His shield of favor (protection and blessing) on every side.  (Psa 5:12)  For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

I choose to receive the vision that the Lord has given to me through prophecy.  “Though it tarry, it shall surely come.” (Hab 2:3)  For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

I choose to believe in my God.  I choose to receive His promises.  I choose to believe His Prophets and I am favored with His prosperity.  (2Ch 20:20) ...Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe His Prophets, so shall ye prosper.

I choose to make my offerings by faith and pay them.  Lord, you have blessed these offerings for more than thirty years.  I know it is your Word and you will continue to bless them.  (Num 15:3)  And will make an offering by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice in performing a vow, or in a freewill offering, or in your solemn feasts, to make a sweet savour unto the LORD, of the herd, or of the flock.

I choose to give using the same measurement in which I would like to receive from Him.  I choose to give my best and receive His best.  (Luk 6:38)  Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

My last Word for today is found in:

The Lord is very definitely speaking this prophetic Word to you today, the twenty fifth of January, 2011.  “Thou are highly favoured.  The Lord is with thee.” This is Rhema Word.  (Luk 1:28)  And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

Let me explain what the Lord is saying in Rhema to you from these scriptures.  No scripture is of private interpretation.  It doesn’t just mean the original intention for which it was given.  The Lord has allowed all of the stories and faith lessons in the Word of God.  He uses them not only for the person in that particular story but for your faith victory way down the road in history.  Scriptures can have many interpretations.  I once had a vision which the Lord gave three different interpretations at different times in my life.  They were all correct interpretations.  (2Pe 1:17)  For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.  (2Pe 1:18)  And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. (2Pe 1:19)  We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: (2Pe 1:20)  Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  (2Pe 1:21)  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

The favor of the Lord is upon you.  This is His season of favor.

3.       We are expecting Great things for Gods people this year who continue to be obedient with the things He has given them. I praise God for all the ministries who are living by faith trusting God for every small and large thing even when the going gets tough. We are not subject to this worlds economy amen? Yesterday our daughter Kristen had an interview for a job we are believing God for the right job with good benefits so she can take care or her two children. We are believing God for a job for our son Jesse and the Lord knows the right one for him. I'm reminded that our children are the seed of the righteous and will not go begging bread. I believe for yours as well. The one who needs a car he will know it was the Lord who supplied it and will thank you for your prayers. 4.       The Gliebes, (25 yr veteran Evangelists) will be going in to Burnaby near Vancouver, B.C., for three meetings, January 23^rd through the 25^th and then gather with pastors in Vancouver and Abbotsford, B.C. for  discussions of revival.  They are asking for our prayers.

5.       Two prayer requests for marriages, today.  Pray for the healing of those relationships.  The enemy fights the marriage more than any other battle because it is the highest form of agreement.

7.       I will have surgery the 15th of march .I will go in the 26 of this month and have an MRI and take measurements of my knee to get the right size for me. I am having to do a lot of arm and leg exercises to make it better for surgery and healing .I will be praying fore all of your friends to. Now I need to get my weight back up… request through Sister Gerri       

8.       Brother Al Miller needs prayer recuperating from triple bypass surgery on Thursday.  Also pray for his wife Colleen.  They have been in our Daily Golden Footprints family for over three years now.

9.       Dear friends, Will you please pray for my sister Mary who will be undergoing serious back surgery on 1.25.11 she will be having rods, screws and bone grafting done to her lower back area, she also has diabetes and other health issues also which will make the surgery even more difficult. Please pray the Dr's staff that will be doing the surgery, that everything that will be done on my sister will have the Lords Hands and every movement done on her. Miracles, healings, and more…

How many times today are we seeing Christians go to church, sing the songs, pray the prayers, and still believe that Christ used to do these great things?  The answer might surprise you. Today there are churches that teach that Christ used to do miracles or used to do healing. What they are doing is not preaching the truth.   They call it the half-truth or denying the power of God.  It was prophesied to happen in the last days.  (2 Timothy 3:1)  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. (2 Timothy 3:2)  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, (2 Timothy 3:3)  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, (2 Timothy 3:4)  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;  (2 Timothy 3:5)  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.  Jesus is alive! He is alive forevermore.

Many times there was prophecy of His resurrection.

 (Matthew 12:40)  For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Jesus taught His disciples…

He told them of the suffering that He must endure.   (Mark 8:31)  And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

At the last supper, He even told of a betrayal by one of the disciples…

 (Matthew 26:21)  And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.  (Matthew 26:29)  But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

The Pharisees and many others and the thief on the cross…

They had heard the prophecy, too and yet did not believe…So they were mocking. (Matthew 27:40)  And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

 (Mark 14:58)  We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.

Jesus was talking about his physical body…

He was still teaching what his word had always said.  (John 2:19)  Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy  this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

The angel reported to the women, “He is risen.”

(Matthew 28:5)  And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. (Matthew 28:6)  He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. (Matthew 28:7)  And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

He always warned them ahead of time…

(Mark 8:31)  And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

In the rapture, the saved dead will hear Hs voice, and arise…

(John 5:25)  Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

1. First of all, we are to hear His Word or His gospel
2. We are to believe His Word or His gospel
3. We are born again

(John 5:24)  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Some of the graves were opened at the resurrection… (Because Jesus defeated death)  They appeared unto many people… (Matthew 27:50)  Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. (Matthew 27:51)  And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; (Matthew 27:52)  And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, (Matthew 27:53)  And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. (Matthew 27:54)  Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly  this was the Son of God.

There were a couple of other times that the dead were raised…

1. When Ezekiel spoke to the valley of dry bones... In Chapter 37…
2. When Lazarus was raised from the dead…John, Chapter 11…

At the Lord’s Supper,

He told about Judas...He gave them bread and wine…He told them it was the last supper...He taught that it was about remission of sins…

(Matthew 26:21)  And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.  (Matthew 26:22)  And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I? (Matthew 26:23)  And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me. (Matthew 26:24)  The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born. (Matthew 26:25)  Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said. (Matthew 26:26)  And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body (Matthew 26:27)  And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; (Matthew 26:28)  For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. (Matthew 26:29)  But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

In Luke’s account…

He tells us to take this communion together again & again in remembrance of Him and what he accomplished for us on the cross. (Luke 22:19)  And he took bread, and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

Because He lives & because of the stripes

He took for us, we are guaranteed healing.  (Psalms 107:20)  He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

(1 Peter 2:24)  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree,   that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

He healed all the sick people.

He cast out devils, delivered them from torments.  It was all what He came to do and to teach us to do by the empowerment of His indwelling Holy Spirit.  (Matthew 4:24)  And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

He delegated the authority that He had won on Calvary to all believers…

(Mark 16:17)  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; (Mark 16:18)  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Not only did He delegate the authority to believers

He also promised we would do even more… (John 14:12)  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

God is the God of the living.

(Matthew 22:31)  But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, (Matthew 22:32)  I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

You must be born again…

(2 Corinthians 5:17)  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new

This is where we get the term born again.

You have to have a born again experience… (John 3:3)  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

(John 3:7)  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

It is because He hung on the cross that you can abide in him.

(John 15:7)  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

This is talking about what was accomplished when he died on the cross.

He then arose again after three days, just like He promised He would.  (Colossians 2:15)  And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

It is because we have heard and believed his gospel

AND were born again that we are eligible for the blessings of Abraham. (Galatians 3:13)  Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: (Galatians 3:14)  That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

(Galatians 3:7)  Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

Where is the covenant of  Abraham described?

(Deuteronomy 28:1)  And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken (to listen and obey) diligently (with strong deliberate effort make inquiry or seek) unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments (to be particular to know and follow His teachings in His Word) which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth (put you in first position)  (Deuteronomy 28:2)  And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, (you won’t be able to stop them) if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. (Deuteronomy 28:3)  Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. (In town and in the country) (Deuteronomy 28:4)  Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, (your children) and the fruit of thy ground (anything that you grow), and the fruit of thy cattle(your farm animal’s off springs), the increase of thy kine, (your family will multiply, not die out) and the flocks of thy sheep. (Deuteronomy 28:5)  Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. (your purse or wallet and bank accounts) (Deuteronomy 28:6)  Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. (whether you are coming or going)

(Deuteronomy 28:7)  The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. (your enemies will run away from you in terror seven ways) (Deuteronomy 28:8)  The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses,(the blessing will happen because God says so) and in all that thou settest thine hand unto(anything you do); and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. (he  is going to give you your home and bless it…) (Deuteronomy 28:9)  The LORD shall establish thee a holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.  (Deuteronomy 28:10)  And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee. (the people of the earth will respect you because they are afraid of you because of the Lord in your life…) (Deuteronomy 28:11)  And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, (you will have lots of “things”) in the fruit of thy body (children), and in the fruit of thy cattle(farm animals), and in the fruit of thy ground (anything that you grow from the land), in the land which the LORD swore unto thy fathers to give thee. (Deuteronomy 28:12)  The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season (rain when it is supposed to only), and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. (you will be a lender and have no need of borrowing) (Deuteronomy 28:13)  And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail (a leader and not a follower); and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: (Deuteronomy 28:14)  And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

Don’t forget to look at the rest of that chapter to see what you have been delivered from. Deut 28:15-68 is the curses.

Because He Lives again,

We can do all things through Christ which strengthens us.  It is through Him we live, and without Him we could do nothing.  (Philippians 4:13)  I can do all things through Christ (because of what Christ did for me) which strengtheneth me.

Prophetic Faith                                           Tuesday, February 1, 2011

Prophetic Faith fits right with “RECEIVING FROM GOD.”  The Lord has been teaching you how to receive from Him.  The Lord has some wonderful things in store for His children.  As the Word says in (Amo 3:7)  Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.  Every Word that you speak must be the Word or the Will of God. You have been empowered by God with Prophetic Faith.  You speak and create just like God spoke and created the world.  You were made in His image (Genesis 1:26).  This prophetic faith comes from applying the Word of Faith into your life.  You must be so much into it that your thoughts, your heart, your words, and your very life have become so Christ like that you are continually speaking His Words.  That is Prophetic Faith.  Use it to create.  When you are full of Him, people can’t tell who is talking, you or God?  They are so alike.

Prophetic Faith didn’t happen by speaking the Word of God once and then wait and see.  You speak it again and again and again and again…  You keep speaking it and meditating on it and walking in it until the promise becomes Rhema and drops down in your heart.  That Logos just dropped into your heart then and became the Rhema Word of God. (Read Romans 10:17) Then you speak it or you plant your seed in faith.  Then the manifestation is on the way.

It is time for you to get serious with God.  Zero in to the real faith walk.  Come to the place that nothing comes out of your mouth but Prophetic Faith.  You cannot separate it from the Word of God.  It takes the Spirit of God and the Word of God to empower you.  I believe that naming your seeds is a tool that God has given to us to bring in the manifestations of His promises (receiving from God).  He said to be doers of the Word and not hearers only.  Planting that seed, then naming that seed, then thanking God for its multiplication,  is acting on the Word.  It is being a doer of the Word and not a hearer only. (Jas 1:22)  But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Even while there are earthquakes in different places, He is also moving by His Spirit to empower you to take this Word of Faith to the world.  He is empowering you with Prophetic Faith. 

Have you ever come to the place that you had to work up your faith?  The entire burden was on you.  Faith is supernatural.  Faith comes from hearing the Word of God.  We do the hearing and God does the bestowing us with His faith for the situation. 

Planting seeds into ministries of faith and to those in need is an action of becoming a doer of the Word and not a hearer only.  Name your seed.  (Rom 4:17… and calleth those things which be not as though they were.  Name it “Your Healing” or “Your  Breakthrough” or “the salvation of your son or daughter.”  It helps you to zero in with your faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).  Remember when you are speaking the will of God, it works the same way.  Find a scripture that confirms your right to have what you are asking for.  Read it again to emphasize it.  In Romans 4:17, the Word said “and calleth those things which be not as they were.  When we are naming our seeds, we are calling the will of God and not what we see with our natural eyes.  You are calling what is supposed to be by God’s promise and not what you see in the natural.

Prophetic Faith finds its source in God, not in human beings.  Prophetic Faith is the opposite of self-reliance.  Faith is not physically natural to us. Faith is supernatural; it is of and from God. It is dependent on God.  It is far above the natural.

Faith is a divine revelation. Romans 10:17 Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.  Faith empowers us to believe in something that does not exist in the natural.  You cannot see it, taste it or feel it.  Your only evidence that it exists is your faith.  One translation of the Bible says quote this scripture as “ A Word FROM God.”  I believe it is when the gifts of the Holy Spirit from 1 Corinthians 4, go into effect.  A Gift of faith is operating.  Gift is Gifts there.  They are plural.  God does thing differently for different children of His.  He will minister how you will understand.

Do you recall the story of David and Goliath?  The moment he stepped out on the battlefield, David had faith.  His words demonstrated his confidence in God’s outcome.  His words not only demonstrated his confidence but they also created a new outcome.  His spoken faith created the God kind of outcome.

Faith speaks, and then it creates. We are in a season that our words have never been of greater importance.  What we speak will create something.  What we bind in heaven will be bound on earth.  (Mat 18:18)  Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.  There is no possible way obviously to tie a rope around something in heaven and earth.  It is talking about our words which we use to take authority over something.  Read in (Luk 10:19)  Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

You cannot get away from this next scripture.  It tells you that to activate your faith, you must speak your faith.  You must say unto whatever mountain that you are facing, whatever you need done.  (Mar 11:23)  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.  This whole verse is about speaking and creating.

We were created in the image of God.  (Gen 1:26)  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.  Being made in the image of God, we are to create the same way that God creates.  If you will look in the first chapter of Genesis, called the Book of Beginnings, you will see just how God created this earth.  I am going to highlight each time he created with the spoken word.  Each time God spoke, He created. We were made in His image.  We are to speak and create as well.  That is why He shows everything in the Prophetic first before He performs it in the natural.

(Gen 1:1)  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

(Gen 1:2)  And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

(Gen 1:3)  And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

(Gen 1:4)  And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

(Gen 1:5)  And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

(Gen 1:6)  And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

(Gen 1:7)  And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

(Gen 1:8)  And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

(Gen 1:9)  And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

(Gen 1:10)  And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

(Gen 1:11)  And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

The following scripture is as plain as the nose on your face.  (Pro 12:14)  A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.  You could also say that it is “what you get when you say what you say.” (Definition of Recompense=To Return In Kind)

Why do you think that we are so strongly taught to grow up in faith we must straighten up our confessions?  (Pro 4:24)  Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.  It is because what you confess creates.  Perverse lips create a perverse life.  (Froward Definition=Distorted, Perverse)

Our words will bring justification or condemnation to us.  To be justified means to be in the position with God “just as if we never committed that sin.”  (Mat 12:37)  For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

To allow you to say one thing and reap another thing would be a mockery of God.  It cannot happen.  (Gal 6:7)  Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen according to Hebrews 11:1.  We are dealing with the permanent things.  They are the things which cannot be seen.  Those things which can be seen are temporary and subject to change.  (2Co 4:18)  While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Words which are not in line with the will, the Word and the personality of God are SIN.  There is no way out of it except cut it out and repent.  (Rom 14:23)  And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

I challenge you to take a look at this revelation from God.  You were given power to create.  You create with your Words.  That is your words that are speaking His Words.  Call those things that be not as though they were and then they will be.  Name your seeds.  Name your promised blessing.  Bring it to God’s attention.  Remind Him of His promises.  Use your faith.  Name your seeds.    (See Romans 4:17.)

Pray for all of our ministries which are part of our Daily Golden Footprints family.  Pray for our first missionaries that God has given to us instructed us from their beginnings and are now raising up in our very eyes.  They now have a church there in Napal and hundreds of people that they are reaching them by them.  They now walk hundreds of miles up and down then mountains to reach everyone. From the need, they have already formed an orphanage.  They are asking for help raising the money to sustain this orphanage.  They need food to sustain them.  They need all the care that goes with them.  Any specific gifts that go with them or any other, be sure to mark that gift to Napal or to them personally. We know this ministry of Tom and Shovanah Laseter.  We have come to know the prophetic ministry of Deborah & Tom Gliebe, as they worked in Washington, then Hawaii, and then Fiji.  They are headquartered back in Oregon now prophesying for our Lord. They have been in Canada this past weekend.  We have fellowshipped with each ministry extensively.  We have prayed with them when they needed intercession.  We are in contact with them week to week or monthly as needed.  We are available as prophetess for their ministry.  The Lord has told us we will begin supporting them some financially.  These missionaries are real.  This isn’t one of those 90% to manage it and 10% only gets to the actual care of the children.  We know where the money is going.

You are in the position right now that either it just happened or it is about to happen.  You are right now ready for your miracle.   For some of you, it has already happened, you just haven’t heard about it yet.

The Lord has told you that He will supply every need(Php 4:19)  But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. He has told us that He will never leave us nor forsake us . (Heb 13:5)  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.   He has told us that He is a very present help in the time of trouble . (Psa 46:1)  ... God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. He makes a way where there seems to be no way.  (Isa 42:16)  And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

He is concerned about everything that concerns you.  He has plenty of time to deal with every issue you have. God is amazing.  With billions of people on the face of the earth, He is able to keep up with everyone.  (Mat 10:30)  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

There is only one thing that will stop any prayer that a blood washed believer has prayed in alliance with the will and Word of God.  (1Jn 5:14)  And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  (1Jn 5:15)  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.  It is to stop believing it.  If you have prayed the prayer of faith, you know it is God’s will, and you are obeying God, then watch for it, it will definitely happen for you.  He has not obligated Himself to fulfill anything that in not in His will for you according to His Word.

After Satan has gone to so much trouble to fight your faith and you over came all of that, wouldn’t it really be a shame to let him have it now?  Tell him NO!

God is able…  Expect it today.  Expect it now.  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. (Heb 11:1)  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.   You believe first, then  it is materialized in the natural. 

Prayer of Faith:  Thank you, Father God, for all the needs you have met today in the lives of each of our Daily Golden Footprints family.  Thank you for all the things you are supplying and have already supplied because you love your children.  Thank you for all the health and strength you are providing in Jesus Name.  Amen…  I thank you for financial breakthrough for many of your children today.  Father, touch all those who have become lukewarm in their following of your word.  Father, deal with each of your children who have quit assembling themselves together in the name of the Lord.  I bind up that lazy spirit right now in Jesus nme.  I thank you that you are teaching your children to hear your voice.  I thank you for healing families today.  I thank you for bringing spouses back home today. Heal their marriages in the name of Jesus.  Father, deal with the sharp tongues this morning.  Let your men and your women watch out for the very tone on their voice.  Father, thank you for bringing in to our church via conference call just the right ones.  Feed them by your Word and Your Spirit just what you want to say to them today, In Jesus name.  Thank you father for every need that you have already met for your children.  Father, thank you for supplying the miracle offerings that this ministry needs in the name of Jesus.   Thank you for supplying the monies need to fix my teeth, in Jesus name and the repairs that need to be made around here.  Thank you Lord for preparing us to follow you as we go out to minister this spring and summer.  Let us hear your voice and go in the right directions.  We thank you for open doors.  We thank you for allowing us to meet more of our Daily Golden Footprints family. Father, thank you for opening the right doors and closing the wrong doors of ministry, in Jesus name.   Lord, help us to hear and know your voice.

How to Receive from God

In Jewish customs, the law made them declare themselves unclean when they came near someone or pass by them.  That person had the right to know that they had Leprosy and were contagious. They had a law that if someone received a miracle healing from Leprosy, they were to return to the priest and show themselves to him.  He would declare them clean or unclean.  If they were declared clean, then they could return to life with other Jews being no longer separated because of their illness.  When Jesus healed the leper referred to in Mark, chapter one, He commanded Him to go and show himself to the priest as was the custom. 

Read these scriptures…(Mar 1:40)  And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. (Mar 1:41)  And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. (Mar 1:42)  And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed. (Mar 1:43)  And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away.  (Mar 1:44)  And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

As in every Old Testament story, He is teaching us from this about our faith walk today. This is just another metaphor (or type and shadow).  I want you to get a hold of this revelation on receiving from God. 

We have often read this scripture and were fed by it.  However, it says more than we have been seeing.  Look at it again.  (Rev 12:11) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony…  Sometimes when we see the word “word” it is literally another name for God.  Sometimes it means His Holy Scriptures.  In this case, the word of their testimony has a different meaning.  Word is talking about speaking.  The speaking of your testimony is your act of faith in receiving from God. 

He said in (Jas 1:22)  But be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.  To be doers of the word, you must act on the word.  When you receive a miracle, it is up to you to receive it by faith.  Act on the Word.  That means put some word in your testimony.  If you confess that “God can,” then you have reached hope.  When you confess from your heart that “God will,” you are still in  hope but your faith level is growing.  You are moving into receiving from God but you are not quite there yet.  When someone, for example, prays for your healing, let you testimony be “God is.”  That is making Him a right now God.  That is receiving from God.

What is the word of your testimony?  How do you receive from God?  You must bring Him into the NOW.  I think this verse found in Hebrews 11:1, has been misquoted for years.  Yes, it says that faith is the substance of things hoped for,  but that is not exactly what it says.  It says NOW.  Now faith is the answer.  Bring your faith into the right now He is doing it.  That is how you can receive from God.  This is the day that He has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it.  (Heb 11:1)  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

We brought up the scripture found in James 1:22 about being a “doer of the Word.”  Well, let’s go a little further down here in verse 25.  If you will notice it says a doer of the work, not word right here.  (Jas 1:25)  But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.  It takes effort for you to receive from God.  You must be a doer of the WORK.  To receive from God, you must speak your testimony in faith.  Maybe you have not seen a thing in the natural, but it says it in the word and that is good enough.  Choose to stand with your testimony.  Then God can work with your words and do your full miracle.  (Read=Mark 16:20)  When you speak correctly, the Lord will work with you.  The result is signs and wonders.

Joshua and Caleb went to spy out the land.  God has sent twelve spies.  Only two came back with a good report.  They all saw the same thing, but only Joshua and Caleb were looking through the eyes of faith.  They said “we are well able.”  The ten said “there were giants in the land and we looked like grasshoppers in their sight.”  Only Joshua and Caleb entered into the promised land.  It was because they had believed by faith what God promised and they had given testimony of it when they chose to believe what God had promised over anything else.

Receiving is a choice.  In order to walk in the blessings of Abraham as you have been promised, you have a choice to make.  You must choose to receive and obey the instructions.  You must believe that when you do obey, the Lord is honest. He cannot tell a lie. That is impossible.  He said He would do it for you.  You must choose to receive every promise.  He is doing it for you.  Receive it right now.  In (Deu 30:19)  I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.

You receive it by believing God is doing it right now.  Quit putting off your miracles into the future.  Fast from wrong thinking and wrong speaking.  Now that is a fast!  Wrong thinking…. That is for another time.

In the story of David just before he went after Goliath, he encouraged himself with his past victories.  He was teaching us to walk in faith here.  David gave himself testimony of the times he killed the bear and the lion who had tried to kill his sheep.  We need to look around and see what God has done.  Declare it.  Feed yourself and others with the word of your testimony.  We must encourage ourselves with those words of victories to build faith.  (Read=Romans 10:17)   

In the story found in 1 Samuel 30 below, David had two of his wives taken hostage along with the families of all his army while they were out fighting the battles.  The men were so distressed they wanted to stone David.  David had to encourage himself.  He gave himself testimony of the Word of God.  He spoke of past victories and future promises.  He kept testifying what he knew to be the will of God, unto his faith was strong to go get their families.  (1Sa 30:6)  And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.  Faith comes from the Word of God, so David had to have been testifying the Word of God to build his faith back up.

We overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony.  We must come into agreement with the will of God.  (Read=1 John 5:14-15)  Testify the will of God with your name in it.  It is for you, just as it is for me.

Years ago, I was ministering in the Bahamas at a Church there of about 500 people.  They had many customs which were different than ours.  The pastor called for testimony time.  All 500 people got up and began to speak at the same time.  They confessed the Word of God about themselves, their families and their friends.  They made testimony of the will of God.  That was receiving from God.  In our church testimony time was telling a few tales of what God had done for some people.  Their way of “testimony” time in the Bahamas was great.  It fit right with that scripture in Revelation 12:11.

The biggest issue you must learn to deal with as you grow in faith is to receive from God.  I heard a story of a man who found out that he had a son who was already grown up.  The parent was worth billions and this son was his only heir.  He set up a checking and savings account that his son could access at any time any and all of his estate.  The son was given the instructions that if he ever needed anything, just write a check.  After some time, now money had been withdrawn from the account.  When they went to check on the son, this was what they found.  The son was without clothes, shelter and even food.  When ask why he didn’t just write a check, the son said he didn’t feel worthy of the money.  Can you imagine how disappointed that Father was when he wouldn’t receive his money?  How disappointed is God when we won’t receive what He has already bought for us when His son died on Calvary.  He just asks for you to receive.

I have been blessed with a Granddaughter.  My son married a girl with a four year old daughter.  She is now an adult.  From the beginning, she has always loved presents.  No matter what it is, she is always grateful and appreciates whatever she get.  It is such a joy to give her gifts, because she receives them and enjoys them so much.  The Lord wants you to learn to receive so that He can joy over us.

Every time you give testimony, you are receiving by faith.  Read again Revelation 12:11.

Reasons that I Speak in Tongues                                   Wednesday, January 16, 2011

The infilling of the New Testament believers with the Holy Spirit should be our pattern still today.  Take a look at the Acts of the Apostles.  Check out their methods in getting people to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and then follow it.  Throughout the whole Word of God there are stories sent for our benefit to learn the faith walk that God has for us today.  For anything that we are attempting to do in our lives, the Word of God should be our example.

In the first Chapter of Acts, right before Jesus ascended on high, the stage was set.  (Act 1:4)  And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.  (Act 1:5)  For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Next scene was on the day of Pentecost:

(Act 2:1)  And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.  (Act 2:2)  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all  the house where they were sitting. (Act 2:3)  And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.  (Act 2:4)  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.  (Act 2:5)  And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

Many years ago, as I read the New Testament, I was convinced that when I receive the Holy Ghost they received, I had received the same experience that they had when they received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost.  As they did, I received with the Bible evidence of speaking in tongues.  Personally, I am not satisfied with anything else because of what I see in the Word of God.  The Holy Ghost is not just speaking in tongues but they go hand in hand.

As you see here in these scriptures, there is a subsequent experience to the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking with Tongues.

(Act 8:5)  Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. (Act 8:6)  And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. (Act 8:7)  For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. (Act 8:8)  And there was great joy in that city. (Act 8:12)  But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

I have heard many denominations try to teach that you get all of the Holy Spirit that you will ever need when you are born again.    According to Mark 16:15-16 they were saved already when they believed.  (Mar 16:15)  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.  (Mar 16:16)  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

There is a work in the Holy Spirit that is not called the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, but the work of Salvation or being born again.  Yet, you must know that there is an experience beyond that initial experience called the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.  When the apostles at Jerusalem heard of the wonderful things God had done through Philip’s ministry in Samaria, they sent Peter and John to lay hands on the new converts that they might receive the Holy Ghost.

(Act 8:14)  Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John.  (Act 8:15)  Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost.  (Act 8:16)  (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) (Act 8:17)  Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
