AliCat,
I posted this on the newsgroup, but here my reply is again:

Yes, I have a complete set. They are VERY nice. Set of 16 total and comes
with a mirrored wall-display shelf. I bought these from Franklin Mint
several years ago. I do not know if they are still available. Cost was
around $50.00 per figure so the set is about $800.00 They are all
hand-painted, several with inlaided "gemstones" similar to what you see in
those wizard and dragon type of pewter statuary. They throw in the display
unit too. Usually you get one figure every other month and pay for that
figure in two monthly installments, so it took me almost three years to
complete my set. I have had my set for about 4-5 years now I think.
Let me know if you need more details.
Dan

Sorry guys, I forgot to add Sean's part... so here's what I believe to be the complete story!!!!!!! Please erase the previous message!!!!

Well, since I've been tagged, I guess I have to start the story. :) Most of us have read Xanth, so, here it is.
The Demon X(a/n)th was in the mood for betting. He had finally risen to the top spot amongst all the Demons, and had been idle for too long. They hadn't had their usual get-togethers or squabbles since his accession. It was almost enough to make a demon nervous; if such a thing is possible.
X(a/n)th sent out a message that all demons were to meet in a fortnight. He would explain at the gathering what the meeting was to be about. Considering how he felt, X(a/n)th wondered how the other demons would feel with a "mystery meeting" being called. He took pleasure in the thought that they too may be unnerved now.
Meanwhile, in the land of Xanth, the Good Magician Humphrey was...

Hi, I hate pressure, but here goes:
Meanwhile, in the land of Xanth, the Good Magician Humphrey was Poring over his big book of Answers. He was mumbling and grubling about the demons get- together, "this means big changes to come." he hardly looked up when his wife-of-the-month, Rose, said, " He just passed the first challenge" "Just send him up when he gets here." At Castle Roogna, the princesses were:
Marisol, you're it!
Judy
I rose to the challenge, so here it is:
At Castle Roogna, the princesses Dawn and Eve were babysitting their cousins Melody, Harmony and Rhythm. They were all in The Magic Tapestry room watching the shifting pictures. Dawn made a wishful sigh as her eyes drift to the window as the same time that Eve did the same with a dark sigh. They both were bored. They loved their cousin but it was such a great day outside with wet pools after a rainstorm just waiting to be explored, but they couldn't go outdoor because they needed to watch their little cousins. Then Dawn lighted up a bulb over her head and said to Eve: "I have an idea!" "What kind of idea?", asked Eve darkly. "I know of a way to get out with the kids!", said Dawn brightly. "Really! Well then tell me!", said Eve eagerly.
Well Daniel you are it now ;-)
Have fun, Marisol
Here is some more of the story.
"I know of a way to get out with the kids!", said Dawn brightly. "Really! Well then tell me!", said Eve eagerly. "Remember when grandpa Dor told use about when he went through the tapestry?" she asked. "yah" "Maybe there is a little bit of that spell left in the tapestry to take five small children like us through. Then we are leaving on an adveture but we aren't even leaving the castle." Dawn said shining like the morning sun itself. "That's a great idea but how do we find out if any magic is left from the spell?" Eve asked getting excited with the idea. "Simple, use your magic and find out if the tap. has any left." She replied smuggly. "Why didn't I think of that?" Eve asked slightly disappointed that it wasn't her idea. "Because,I'm the "bright" one." Dawn said as Eve got to work finding the spell. After a couple of minutes Eve reported "Found it but to invoke it we need an inter net. So I guess we'll have to find it." They started by looking:

Hope you liked it whatever it was. JOSH
After a couple of minutes Eve reported "Found it, but to invoke it we need an inter net. So, I guess, we'll have to find it." They started by looking.... at each other with dread in their eyes. They had a bad feeling about this. "An inter net sounds like something Com Pewter would have," Eve said darkly. "There must be a way to get one without leaving the castle!" Dawn exclaimed. She turned to the tapestry and concentrated, zooming in on Com Pewter's cave until it looked life-size. They were close enough to read the writing on its screen. It said: WELCOME PRINCESSES. I HAVE BEEN EXPECTING YOU. The twins looked at each other, Dawn looked brightly, Eve looked darkly, but they both looked confused. "He can't mean us," said Dawn. On the tapestry, Com Pewter's computer screen changed. I MEAN YOU. I AM THE ALL-KNOWING, ALL SEEING COM PEWTER. "Oh," said Eve. "We need an inter net," said Dawn eagerly. She could see the possibilities of talking with Com Pewter without having to worry about him influencing reality since they weren't in his cave. WHY SHOULD I GIVE YOU AN INTERNET? "Because we asked you so nicely," said Dawn. WHAT WILL YOU GIVE ME IN RETURN? asked the machine. "I'm not sure we have anything you need," said Eve. OH BUT YOU DO, it said, screen turning an evil red.

Sorry it's so long, but I couldn't stop!!
Nathaniel Naga was working his way through the Good Magician's challenges to ask his very important question. A few days shy of learning the truth behind the Adult Conspiracy, he was eager to find the woman with whom he was destined to spend his life. He's had dreams of a mysterious woman in trouble, and he knew this was the woman he searched for. Unfortunately, in these dreams her face was always hidden. A friend suggested Nathaniel seek out the Good Magician to ask who this wonderful female was, as it seemed to be quite important that Nat find her soon.
He had made it through the first two challenges, and was anticipating the third. The castle was in sight now, but there seemed to be a great gorge between it and him. To complicate things, there was a vicious looking ogre in its depths. "Now how am I supposed to get across without being chomped?" Nat wondered. He knew there was always a solution, as long as he could find it.
As he looked around, he noticed a multitude of small red dots walking around in the grass. Each one seemed to have four arms. "Perhaps this is the answer," Nat considered. Bending down, he asked the closest dot, "Would you be able to help me cross the gorge?" The dot nodded, which was quite a feat since it didn't appear to have a head.
"OK, so how can I use the dots to cross?" contemplated Nat. "Perhaps if I connect the dots..." He placed two dots together until they were holding hands. Then he took some more and started to connect them together as well. Before he know it, each of a dot's four hands was holding another dot's hand (except, of course, for those along the outside). It looked like a large dot matrix, with all the hands linked together. Nat picked the matrix up, and shook it until it stretched to the other side, almost like a blanket. It was even sturdy enough for him to move over.
The third challenge completed, he reached the front door of the Good Magician's castle, and was greeted by Rose. "He's expecting you," she said. "Let me show you the way."
Tag Richard, you're it!!! :)
Kathy
Here's my part, and I'll try to find time late tonight to put the whole story up on the site for reference...
SEAN START -
Following Rose up a long staircase, Nathaniel was surprised at the lack of mayhem. He had heard of all the wild stories of the famed castle, but the place just didn’t seem to be the same place so many had described.
"Please be quick, he’s been extra grumpy, even for him, lately," Rose politely commented.
Nathaniel walked past Rose and gazed on the old gnome. Hunched over his great tome, Humphrey didn’t seem to notice Nat nor Rose enter the room.
"Ahem," Nat tried to get Humphrey’s attention.
Humphrey didn’t even flinch as he seemed engrossed in his reading. Nat looked around as if something were to fall on him.
"Uhh…hello? I conquered your challenges. Aren’t you going answer my question?" Nathaniel asked Humphrey.
Humphrey turned after a moment and gazed directly at Nathaniel, without what seemed to be a second thought. The old crone appeared just as Nat had heard - with an extra bit of grumpy on the side.
"Well out with it," Humphrey hissed.
"My question is this - Who is my one true love?" Nat asked proudly.
Sighing greatly, "Before I answer that question, I have to inform you the answer is unique, because it requires two years of service to work off. Normally I charge one, so I will allow you to ask one more question of your choosing," Humphrey quickly told Nat.
Nathaniel, after a double take, racked his mind for another question. There was no doubt he wanted his first answered, so this deal from Humphrey seemed reasonable. After racking his brain, and his brain racking back a few times, he came up the only thing that came out of all that racking.
"What’s the most important thing going on right now?"
Humphrey stared without a blink for a moment at Nathaniel Naga. "I’ll answer your first question first. Take the ogre into the cave that you don’t want to go into."
Nathaniel began to protest this answer, "But wait…"
"Don’t try him dear, he’s been so patient with you," Rose interjected.
Nathaniel privately wondered how this nice lady defined patience when Humphrey began his second answer.
"Although you cannot fully grasp the significance of this, it’s important for you to pay strict attention. Demon X(a/n)th is in danger of being in violation of a demonic rule. The hearings are being held now, which X(a/n)th has brought together himself, in hopes that if he is found to be out of bounds his penalty will be less than his last. The balance of power is shifting and Xanth’s future is in the balance."
Rose lightly put her hand on Nat’s shoulder has he gazed in utter confusion at Humphrey, who simply turned back to his tome as if nothing had happened.
"But wait - what does all that mean?!" begged Nathaniel.
"Will that be another year of service?" Humphrey answered without removing his gaze from his giant book.
Nathaniel knew the answer to that question was a No.
Rose directed him down to what seemed to be a lobby and handed Nathaniel a magically closed parchment.
"Your first duty, as outlined by Humphrey, is to take this parchment to Castle Roogna after finding your friend the ogre," instructed Rose as she led him to the opening of the castle.
Leaving the castle boundaries, he realized he had absolutely no idea where to go. He decided that any path leading away from this castle was fine with him. A discernable path appeared in front of Nat, along with a sign that read TO OGRE VILLAGE. Nat wondered if he had come to this path, or it had come to him. In any event, that old crone mentioned an ogre in one of his answers, so if he were to need one for some reason, he might as well go to an ogre village to meet one. Taking the path, he immediately got tangled in a sticky red papery substance that blocked the path off. Untangling himself, Nat looked around for a way through the obstacle.
"There’s no way through it. You have to fill out these fifteen forms to get through it," commented a man who came out from the right.
"And file those forms and sign for them with me to process," said another man from the left.
"Who are you guys?" asked Nathaniel.
"I’m Beau," said the man on the left.
"I’m Ocracy," said the man on the right.
"Well you guys certainly can block the way of progress. Isn’t there a shortcut here? I’m trying to find my one true love," begged Nat.
"I’m sorry, but that’s just not possible," shifted Beau.
"But if you want a change of procedure you can take it up with the appropriate department," added Ocracy.
Nathaniel could see he was getting nowhere pretty quickly. He decided double his tracks to see if there was an alternate path around the main one. To his dismay he found nothing of the sort.
Slithering his way back to the blocked path in Naga form, he noticed a scissors bush to the side. Plucking a ripe pair of scissors, Nat figured that this might help with the blockade.
Making his way back to Beau and Ocracy’s way, he carefully came up to the red sticky paper and began cutting it with the fresh pair of scissors.
"What are you doing, you can’t to that!" cried Beau.
"It’s strictly against the rules!" screamed Ocracy.
Nat quickened his pace until enough was cut through for him to slide by. Discarding the now worn scissors by the edge of the path, he could see the two quickly filling out forms and retaping the areas cut open.
"And I thought all the obstacles were to get into Humphrey’s Castle!" Nathaniel Naga said to himself as the slid down the Ogre Village trail.
More down...
Thanks! PS - Josh you're it

is to discuss anything related with Piers and his books, so don't hesitate
to do so. Again Josh, we can continue the story after the 26th.
Anyway Happy Holidays all of you!

It occured to me that the story would move along quicker if this happened:
Everyone who wants to work on the story email me personally at seangibson@... and I will set up a rotation...this way the story will be moving along much better...

Hi Everyone!
Happy Holidays! Just wanted to wish everyone the best
of this very special time of the year. Also, keep up
the good work on the story. I'm going out of town for
Christmas break beginning this Wednesday and won't be
back until January 3rd. One of the nice perks of being
a professor. I'm hoping to add something to the story
when I get back.
Wishing everyone a season of hope, peace, joy and love!

Hi everyone! Since so many asked for the complete story, I am sending it to all of you. I pasted it into this email message since not everyone might have Word 97. And Sean, please continue the story! :)

So I guess we'll have to find it." They started by looking:
where do you think Alicat (Tag)
Tag Kathy! : ) AliCat >^, ,^< MEOW!
I agree. If Kathy doesn't mind, Sean you are it ;-) Hey you ask for it ;-)
Marisol

Unfortunately my Pc went pear-shaped on 29/11/98 and is still not 100% :''-(((( i lost everything and had to pay £25 to get it put right. The brand-spanking-new hard drive I had in February had gone wibble, 3/4 of it (4.8 gB) was corrupted - don't know how.
I got the e-mails about :-
moving to egroups.com (obviously)
Marisol becoming co-host of the web page (congratulations)
the new PATH URL (added to my favourites)
Someone (Kathy?) offered the entire story as an attachment - I'd be grateful to receive it.
I have to re-download ICQ so don't be suprised if I ask for authorisations again. Also does anyone have my ICQ# to hand 'cos that's gone to ;-D (No I don't believe in doing backups, my New Year's resolution has got to be to start doing them).
Brownie rat is much better and thanks everyone for their kind wishes.
I'd prefer to remain as a lurker until I get back to normal (or as near to that state as is possible for me).

On the topic of Piers writing for a TV show - most sci/fi shows really stink (Babylon, Star Trek). Star Trek has the occasional great show, but is so overridden with "Well if in theory we can get the hypertronic phase shield to deviate by 234 degrees, then we can colliate that with a nutron beam, we can get out of this!" Anyway, I'd be worried that they wouldn't let Piers write what he intends to, corporate people would come into the show and put in their mark (which is bad), and the show wouldn't do well. A movie on the other hand definitely has merit!
I totally agree with you Ali! I will love to see a sci-fic show or fantasy
one scrip by Piers Anthony or based on his books. I mean if people like Xena
and Hercules, what they should like Bink or Ivy or any of other of Piers
characters. I recently read Mute a sci-fic novel by Piers way back in the
70's I think, and that novel will make a cool movie. It has a strong female
character, an really interesting male character and cool intelligent animals
that have telepathic power among other things. I can imagine a cool Series
or movie based on that show in the Sci-Fiction channel.
My two cents,
Marisol
P.S. Hey Rob let hear from you ;-) I can't wait what is going to happen next
in the story ;-)
