The San Francisco Pickup Softball Network will host a game every Saturday
morning on these dates. No Start time is listed because games start when there
are enough to play. Recent games have started as early as 9:15am.

PLEASE NOTE: START TIMES ARE APPROXIMATE.
We start when we have enough players to play. This means that the game may start
earlier.

Lately, people have been arriving earlier, for batting practice and early games
if attendance allows. In practice, it's not a bad idea to either get to the
field earlier or later, games tend to last about 1 hour or so.


PLEASE NOTE: FIELD LOCATION MAY CHANGE.
Generally speaking, we don't reserve any fields and are subject to field
availability. Sometimes we have to move that game at the last minute. Please
check the mailing list,web site or twitter feed for the latest information.

Update and field change messages may be sent up to 1 hour before game time, if
possible check your email or the web site before heading out.

Some notes about our games:

Until we have 14 players, we take batting practice. Batters hit in the order
that they arrived (if you can figure it out)

We play a game when 14 players are standing on the field

In the first game, we play a maximum of 11 players on a team. This is to ensure
the integrity of the first game. (It's just no fun to bat once every 14 hitters
or face a team with 7 outfielders. If you want to play, get there on time.
another technique is to get there late when the first game is almost over.)

Teams are chosen at random (by picking gloves out of a pile)

After the first game late arriving players are added to the pool. There's no
maximum for players on a team after the first game, but in practice, some
players will leave after the first game.

follow these guidelines and and you will be loved and appreciated by your fellow
softball players.

2.Game reports, questions, answers are of interest, please post them. Reports of
games are especially encouraged, everybody wants to know what's been going on
out on the field.

3. Thank You messages, RSVP's, Me Too messages, and the like are not of interest
to the entire group. Do not post this sort of message to the list. If you want
to rsvp, reply to the sender only.

4. When posting a reply to the list, please delete all the advertising placed at
the bottom by Yahoo.

5. Please send a message to pickupsoftball-owner@yahoogroups to have your
suggestion added to this list.
