As the professional organization of political science teachers, researchers, and scholars in the Philippines, the Philippine Political Science Association, founded in 1962, endeavors to provide its members and the rest of the social science community, as well as political practitioners, the opportunity to carefully examine, by means of conferences and other collaborative activities, critical political and social issues in the Philippines, in East/Southeast Asia. The PPSA is a member organization of the Philippine Social Science Council with a membership base of close to 200 members.
