Creeping Charlie(all parts) I don't know where you live,
but it is all around the USA.

(all of these plants are used are pretty much edible)

pepper weed
pineapple weed

these n sprout out in the yard and will grow bigger
if they are near a garden or some where where they aren't cut.

Ameranth (vegtable type grain type
very decorative)

currly dock (rumex crispus)
the leaves are good
the dried seeds make tea (it has iron in it though)

clover (flower tea)
leaves aren't to tasty to me but you can eat them in salad/soup if you want.
wood sorrle
fat hen

I have never planted any of these, and they pop up in my yard.
milk weed has also along with other plants.
edit
(oh you can also eat the sprouts from maple the seeds that come up with the
leaves taste sweet

        Dear Francis S:
I too thank you, as I have a friend here in Oklahoma who has Arthritis real bad, plus she's real low on Iron, so I'll tell her husband about the Dock seeds.
            I only strive to help.
            Please be well.

project in the first place. Thats the UK for you. A different game in Ireland
and elsewhere. Of course there are nice straight type locals in the England, its
just the (other) hippys that the problem in many ways for real!! (such as the
new age anglo clique in north west wales who seem to be totally unable to acept
the realy of 'babylon' vampire system and are in effect (still) contained with
that entity, and channelling it, despite apparent cosmicness man. This other
factor that can be very annoying. I think I've achieved break through in the
east sussex case as regards 'the farmers'...

...whooops a daisy...think I might have spoken to soon there...was cycling by a
pub inhabited by one the 'pink coats' people....some guys outside made some
comments...I said: "wild dog ritual abuse county or wild yak country - which
one?". Lots of people in the village (Robertsbridge) were out in the snow. The
pink coats hate that description of their 'game'. It goes right to the heart of
the pink coat fox hunt trip. They don't like it, they don't like been shown,
ESPECIALLY not in words, but in terms of community shammanism believe it or not
in ordinary locations like the village shop, the reality of ritual abuse. They
react badly quite often, refuse to accept this reality, (which would just simply
ceasing this activity), and fight back. Very weird vibes I can tell you! I
really do think/know that the pink coat type fox hunt has been a community wide
rural anti occult/magic/real religious mechanism for many many years that needs
to end really so their can be consciousness awareness of the pagan/Mother Earth
aspect in rural society, and thus a radical change in behaviour towards genuine
respect for the entity. I think in particular regard to the woodland especially
communally community owned type forest.

So if you can accept this analysis for one moment, perhaps you might see how the
pink coat trip might seek to undermine the channel that is causing folks to
accuratly perceive their reality. They certainly spread some pretty evil what I
call 'mind viruses'..or malicious gossip you could say coming from the
viewpoint/energy of ritual abuse..of various sorts, thus seeking to trash and or
contain the human mind that is channelling the reality if you see what I mean.
So something to be aware of please how many time do I have to say it but it
doesn't seem to make any difference to those arrogant know all new age types
does it now you know who you are solidarity is in order instead the complete and
total oppositte appears to the the reality doesn't it now well its you thats got
the kids so its you thats in panicing fear about environmental earth crisis that
is inevitable if community wide reality does not radically shift.

So f'k you Ben Law etc, F'k U

:)

Actually be aware that even these suppossedly 'sound' individuals don't really
have a clue about the cure for this 'old age' type energy - i.e. (especially
collective) anarchist consciousness. In other words they are not truely free or
awake. Now stop egoising and go and live with the peace convoy in Ireland I'm
telling you especially the youth. This factor is absolutely essential, and its
not just a matter of getting the appropriate permaculture qualifications or
whatever. OK?

..they you can think about getting hold of control of some land for a permy
project. First learn what its all about. The problem with this is that you keep
remembering about free squat sharing type reality, and thus relativly what a
pile of tedius s*** some sort of individual free enterprise land based trip is!

Well at least the bur-ruds (AND FOXES) are my friends.

KRISHNA KRISHNA KRISHNA!

Subject: any particular use for Christmas tree branches?
silvanelfo

Hi!

I just cut down a big christmas tree (fir) and I was wondering if there is a good way to use them.. I know that they are not good because they acidify the soil, so I was thinking to make something like biochar..do you have any other idea?

Thanks

Matteo

I think making biochar from Christmas trees is a brilliant idea. If only everyone could put their old trees to such good use!

See what's on at the movies in your area. Find out now.

In Norway there hvae been a traditional use of the  top + the last / highest  branch circle
to make a "special" kitchen instrument  called TVARE, removing all needles and bark.
This kitchen instrument have then been used in the making of porridge, for stiring  while cooking.

After one summer of composting those chipped christmas trees are
excellent mulch for raspberries: even wild ones become healthy and
productive.

As posted, a chipper is the best reuse of an old x'mas tree. I use pine chips to
mulch my raspberries as they like a soil ph of 6. In addition no more weeding
and damaging young canes! On a side note, how many trees would we save if we
didn't cut them down and instead bought young rooted trees and then replanted
them?

As posted, a chipper is the best reuse of an old x'mas tree. I use pine chips to mulch my raspberries as they like a soil ph of 6. In addition no more weeding and damaging young canes! On a side note, how many trees would we save if we didn't cut them down and instead bought young rooted trees and then replanted them?

The local wildlife park here (Howletts) take old Christmas trees to feed to the elephants.  But you have to be ULTRA careful to remove any dangling ornaments or tiny wire hooks.

I thought in terms of carbon recycling, it's a good thing to plant trees and then dispose of them, thus requiring more to be planted.

Sigh.  Nothing's simple.

Hi Everyone,

I have been inoculating christmas trees with edible mushroom mycelium.
I used Phoenix Fir Oyster mushroom mycelium on softwood dowels.
Tools required were a drill, 5/16 inch bit and a mallet.

If you visit www.fungi.com you can see some of the products I've used.
The dowels are under the name "Plug Spawn."

In a normal garden setting in Bermuda, I got results at almost exactly
the same time I inoculated in the previous year (in other words, time
till fruiting was about 1 year), and I didn't do anything except spray
water once in a while and cover the logs with some burlap (a.k.a.
hessian).

Nice use of a throw-away resource.

Peace,

Steve.

Proceed with care. Most commercially grown xmas trees here in the us are
treated with any number of pesticides, herbicides etc.
