The reason I didn’t
post your pictures was all I could get from the email was a tiny image 90 x 60
pixels. If you send me a larger file I will put it up on the web.
Dear all who have asked me for a copy of the pictures I have taken or who
have down loaded a pictures from my website:
May I suggest you make a contribution to the purchase of the new rescue boat
of say £5 if you have had some pictures from me or have down loaded some
pictures - after all without the use of the rescue boat I would not have
been able to take many of the pictures.
Just a suggestion!!!!
I believe John Murphy (yacht Erin) is the person leading the working party
detailed to buy the new RIB, so please make the contribution to him.
If anyone wants a last chance to ask for some of the pictures here are the
links - what I will need from you is the date of the album and the picture
number taken from the information on the right hand side - if you look to
the right of the picture you want will see "Photo Information" and then
below that "more info" - if you open that link it shows more details of the
photo and includes "File name" and that is the number I need which will be
eg "P105........" and that information will help me find it on my system:

Yes, I might as well enter the photos in the competition.
It is a pity that members were not alerted to the calendar earlier so that they

We propose selling
them at about £8. Please have a look and let me know if you
think you might be interested. I’ve ordered a couple to preview but
it is difficult to gauge the market.
I realize that a
couple of images have yet to be finalized but to get a head start on this
project I have uploaded 13 images and put a design together. We can
change the ones we’re not sure about early in the week. I’m not sure
it will work but try clicking on the above link then the my account tab
and you should be able to preview it. If it asks you to sign my
email address is ian_cameron@blueyonder.co.uk
and I have set the password to peyc2010. My inclination
is to order a few to see how we like it before committing to spend £500.
Talk to you Monday.

So far I am underwhelmed by the response to
the above. I have a few entries for the photo comp but not
many. I the last couple of years the contest has be dominated by epic
tales of cruises to the Arctic Circle and
other tales of daring from fearless Port Edgar matelots. However in the
past the trophy has been won by logs of much more modest cruises.
And this year Martin is judging so he wont be submitting an entryJ.
So lets hear from you.

Hi Folks,
So far we have about a 12 replies for
this which with some partners brings the total to maybe 15.
I’m away for a few days from next weekend and would like to have a
rough idea of numbers before that so that I can talk prices with
Janette. So if you plan to come could you please post sometime in
the next few days. Not a firm commitment but I’d like to
have a ballpark figure to numbers attending before I go away.
As it is that time of year when thoughts turn towards boat maintenance, I thought I would show you all this photograph of what can happen when the antifouling goes wrong.

Last
Thursday Psyche and her valiant crew had one of the best evening sails of the
season. We motored out of the marina into drifting conditions. 1.5
knots of wind from the west. The skipper thought lets keep the crew
amused by rigging the spinnaker. Spinnaker set and the wind filled in
from the east at about 10 knots giving us a nocturnal spinnaker run up the
river against the tide making hull speeds of 5,5 knots. About 7.30 the
spinnaker was recovered before it became totally dark and we had a great beat
back down with the tide. 8.30 we are back at the marina entrance
and the wind is suddenly switched off again. Lovely evening sail
– someone must have made a pact with the devil.
This
Thursday looks like benign conditions with a building high and a flooding
tide. It will be the last evening sail of the season as the Limekilns
people crane out next weekend. Book early: spaces will be at a premium.
Ian S and KS will not be sailing and I’m not sure about Yvana
and Magic Moment.
If
you haven’t done so please post about the night out
Hi Ian, I will forego this last one as am hopefully heading north for some Munro Bashing. I won't manage the social either so all the best everyone and hope to see some of you in the spring. Thanks to the 2 Ian's for there advice and help in learning skills of sailing. I also must say hiow much fun last thursday was on Psyche :) Skipper was in great form and guided us all well, even the two crew dancing the spinnaker. Ian

Last Thursday Psyche and her valiant crew
had one of the best evening sails of the season. We motored out of the
marina into drifting conditions. 1.5 knots of wind from the
west. The skipper thought lets keep the crew amused by rigging the
spinnaker. Spinnaker set and the wind filled in from the east at about 10
knots giving us a nocturnal spinnaker run up the river against the tide making
hull speeds of 5,5 knots. About 7.30 the spinnaker was recovered before
it became totally dark and we had a great beat back down with the tide.
8.30 we are back at the marina entrance and the wind is suddenly switched off
again. Lovely evening sail – someone must have made a pact
with the devil.
This Thursday looks like benign conditions
with a building high and a flooding tide. It will be the last evening sail
of the season as the Limekilns people crane out next weekend. Book early:
spaces will be at a premium. Ian S and KS will not be sailing and I’m
not sure about Yvana and Magic Moment.
If you haven’t done so please post
about the night out
Weather permitting I hope to be there with New Dawn.
See you all Thursday J
Regards.
Graeme

Hi Folks,
So far we have about a 12 replies for this which with some partners brings the total to maybe 15. I’m away for a few days from next weekend and would like to have a rough idea of numbers before that so that I can talk prices with Janette. So if you plan to come could you please post sometime in the next few days. Not a firm commitment but I’d like to have a ballpark figure to numbers attending before I go away.
Can you add me to the list for a sail on Thursday.
Cheers
Christine
