People's Park, Berkeley, California, is a park created by the people of Berkeley, featuring community vegetable gardens, fruit trees, a performance stage, groves of trees, a basketball court, a lawn for picnics and sports, quiet escapes from urban life, and a variety of cultural, educational, celebratory and sports events throughout the year. People's Park was formed over 35 years ago because the community collectively engaged to create it. This discussion group supports free and open discussion of the issues and suggestions raised by the People's Park community related to the Park's operation and activities. It is the only open discussion group about People's Park on the Internet.
