The Alliance for People Powered Transportation advocates for bicycle and pedestrian transportation in Nevada County, California. We support utilitarian cycling through helping cyclists choose commuter routes, providing a connection point for riding buddies, and holding workshops on riding safely in traffic, basic bicycle maintenance, how to carry items on a bicycle, night and rainy day riding, etc. As an alliance, we form coalitions with other organizations with similar goals and advocate for city and county planning that takes into account cycling for transportation and pedestrian ways.
