I have a couple of thoughts on this subject. As a vendor, albeit a
hobbyist/vendor, I have dealt with this from the other end. First of all, I'm
assuming that you contacted the company, before you sent the materials back.
That said, if someone has a problem with my blanks, and they aren't just being
picky (some folks expect the miraculous, though I've never run into anyone who
does), I don't ask for a return, unless it's a large order. I pay for the
replacement and the shipping.

By the time a customer has ordered from me twice, I've usually become friends
with that person, on some level. Look at the forums for pen turners and other
woodworkers. I don't know why, but they (we) are just a nicer, friendlier class
of people. Customers should be cherished, not abused.

If they want the merchandise back, a quality company will admit the error, apologize and either call tag the stuff they want back(pre-pay the return shipping)...

The hassle of returns are one of the risks you take when you buy from a virtual store versus a brick and mortal store. I think return freight is on the buyer....

PSI is a good company as far as I'm concerned but you get what you pay for. Look at the price of a Starrett or Mitutoyo caliper to see what a quality caliper...

I have the high dollar calipers for the presses in the print shop. If the measurements are off the images won't fit on the press sheets. That is a big problem....
