Most any program that will run under Win XP will run under Win 7 as well.  Yes you have to install AbiWord or another word processing program.  Open the word

Rog, I don't know about windows "7", I abandoned Microsoft a long time ago. You might try starting abiword first, then opening your document from abiword. If
