Peachtree City Funschoolers (PTCF) is a support group for families in and around Peachtree City, GA that decide to learn at home.

We meet to have fun! This is to provide an opportunity for the kids to play together and for the Moms and Dads to visit. We offer organized activities based on the desires of the children in the group.

We try to go to places that are free to low cost, with an eye toward everyone’s budget.

We try to meet weekly or as often as interests, weather, and work and other schedules permit.

The members of PTCF are all intelligent, loving families. We have a range of political and religious beliefs. While we do discuss subjects that touch on religion and politics, as well as parenting, family life, learning, and anything else that comes up, we do not promote or press a particular point of view. We do not proselytize in any way -- about religion, parenting, politics, or other hot-button areas. We express our opinions but are respectful of each others’ views and treat each other with kindness, care and thoughtfulness.

We believe in all types of learning at home, including unschooling, as a form of learning and we do not welcome attempts to dissuade anyone from their personal choice. We welcome all families that choose to learn at home, no matter how the children learn (schooled or not).

PTCF was created to support one another in an out-of-the-mainstream choice and provide a safe, fun, loving environment for our children.
