This group is for people more-or-less age 12 through 18 in the Portland Metro area who are homeschooled/unschooled. If you're in that group, welcome! If you are over 18, and still consider yourself a homeschooler/unschooler, welcome! If you're younger than 12 and would like to be part of this group, welcome! (Please remember that this IS a teen group, and the subject matter and language of the group is oriented for teens.)

You can discuss anything of common interest on this group. What are you learning? What are you doing in life? Want to set up an activity? Find something fun on the Internet to share? Go ahead and post!

Some simple guidelines:

1. Keep it clean. If you wouldn't want your grandmother or your little brother to read it or link to it, keep it off the group.

2. No spamming. If you've got a product or service you want to promote, or you want to let others know about a product or service you like, that's fine... but don't post repeated or aggressive advertisements. And please don't post emails that ask you to forward them to everyone you know.

3. Go ahead and discuss anything. You can even disagree and debate - but remember that good debate is about ideas, not personalities. If you disagree with someone, keep it polite, and don't get personal.

4. Make it YOUR group! There are two adult moderators and two teen moderators on this group. New members can be approved by any of the moderators, and new members will be asked to answer some introductory questions. After that, you're on your own, and the only posts that will be moderated are ones that are really out of line.
