Progressive Democrats of Los Angeles is a local chapter of Progressive Democrats of America (www.pdamerica.org). PDLA's mission is to help make the Democratic Party more representative of and responsive to the majority of Democrats in our state. We also actively work to effectively progress social, economic and environmental justice issues including the withdrawal of U.S. military troops from Iraq & Afghanistan, opposing unjust and preemptive wars, de-privatizing our electoral system, full public financing of elections, and universal healthcare (including SB810/State Senator Mark Leno's CA bill). Additionally, we work to help elect progressive Democrats who will truly represent the interests of workers, diversity, the environment and human rights.
