MAKE A GIFT TO BRING A SMILE TO SOMEONE WHO NEEDS SOMETHING TO SMILE ABOUT.
Do you knit, crochet or sew? Would you like to use this skill to help someone who has lost their hair due to chemotherapy or other medical condition? I invite you to join me and many others in this endeavor. A frequent side effect of chemotherapy and other medical conditions is hair loss. My name is Barbara. I have been a crocheter for many years. I am part of a network of craftspeople who donate their time and materials to make hats that provide warmth, comfort and dignity to people who need all the support they can get at what has to be the most devastating time of their lives. It is not just wealthy people who get sick. Wigs are expensive, even the poorly made ones, and they can be very itchy and uncomfortable. These caps will be sent to hospitals and oncology centers FREE OF CHARGE to those who need them. My goal is to provide 2 or 3 hats each for ANYONE who would like them.
