Calvin Pearce graduated from Parker in 1970. He started this egroup in July of 2000 when drafted to co-chair a class reunion committee with Lynette Shanks Pamphlet.

ParkerHighSchool@egroups.com is an email message group established to connect former Parker High School graduates and friends to organize class reunions, annual picnics and to support donations to current students of Parker Community Academy and Paul Robeson High School.

Parker High School was located at 6800 South Stewart in Chicago, Illinois. It has since been converted into an elementary school renamed Parker Community Academy. Paul Robeson High School was built at 6835 South Normal to replace Parker High School in 1977.

This email egroup will be the source for contact information for 1960 to 1976 friends and graduates of Parker High School. The membership is open and anyone interested can join this egroup. After you sign in and establish a Yahoo ID, look at the left-hand column of the Home Page and click on the "Files" section. When you get to the "Files" section, double click on "Membership Application". Please complete the application and email it Calvin Pearce at think@ix.netcom.com. Your name and email will be the only thing listed to the membership. Phone numbers and addresses are not posted for the general membership.

Our official name is "The Parker High School Alumni Association." We are currently organizing to become a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Membership is $10.00 a year. Please send a check or money order made out to the Parker High School Alumni Association. Mail it to the address above.

We encourage everyone to tutor and mentor students of Parker Community Academy and Paul Robeson High School.
