You should know there are two orchid events happening in Miami this weekend. The WOC begins tomorrow and runs thru Sunday and the Tamiami Orchid Festival runs

It could be that during watering, water is getting caught in the axil and not drying out. Leaves also fall off like this when plants are exposed to cold
