Welcome to Palo Alto Link. This group is an extension of the Palo Alto Free group and provides an online forum for members of the group to:

1. Lend/Borrow items.
2. Offer/Ask/Exchange services
3. Offer/Ask for co-ownership of goods.

Hopefully the group can help in limiting consumption and unneccesary buying of items (e.g. not everyone needs to own a ladder), provide certain services to members of the community without the use of "money" and at the same time also increase community interaction. The success of the group depends on the "goodwill" of its members (e.g. borrowed things must be returned on time, not damaged, service commitments must be fullfilled etc.)

Few rules for participating:
1. Loaning of items and offering of services has to be free.
2. You can Exchange a service for another service
3. Return items you have borrowed on time and in the same condition you borrowed them. If they break or are damaged, reimburse the person loaning the item.
4. Reply only to sender of the email, instead of the whole group (please do not do a Reply All)
5. No solicitations, politics, news, spam etc.
6. The Palo Alto Link group itself does not take any responsibility for any loss and liability (e.g. stolen, not returned, damaged etc.) arising from loaning of items/services
