Description
Westbound cruisers headed to the South Pacific use the Pacific Puddle Jump to disseminate information that others may find useful.
Boats departing from the West Coast of the Americas headed towards French Polynesia share information on preparation, weather routing, visa and arrival information, tips and suggestions. PuddleJump headquarters in Mexico is Marina Riviera Nayarit-La Cruz, in beautiful Banderas Bay. Seminars are held in January thru March to help cruisers prepare for the crossing. A nearly 500 page crossing guide is available for download in the files section of the PPJ Yahoo group.
2009 was a record year for the PPJ with over 100 boats making the crossing. About 25 from Central America, several directly from the US, and a few Nuevo Vallarta and other Mexican ports. Most departed from "PPJ Central" in La Cruz, Mexico.

UPDATING CURRENT PPJ VESSEL DATABASE
If you are making a PuddleJump passage you need to add your vessel information to the database for the year you are crossing. In the PPJ Yahoo group, go to the Database Section and find the database for the year you are crossing. Open that database and add your information into the file. This will enable everybody to know who is crossing with them and allow directed emails for information that is important to the fleet
