OZCABS – E Mail discussion group for the Australian Taxi Industry and yes, overseas members are encouraged too.

While the majority of the existing members are the “coal face” (cabbies) of the taxi industry, there are a number of suppliers and depot management personnel represented. We welcome anyone - including you - with an interest in the taxi industry.

We discuss anything that has some relevance (however obscure) to the taxi industry.

About the photo: The original was “borrowed” from “The Age” in Melbourne and has been altered as we believe it shows some of the humour that marks a true professional cabbie. The cab drivers of Australia are sometimes wrongly branded as knowing little or no English and really don’t have a clue where they are going - a stereotype we would like to dispel.

There are days when there are many postings from our members, so it is recommended that you subscribe using the "Digest Option" with up to 25 member messages on the one e-mail.
