This mailing list is the successor of the Overland-Trails mailing list and is sponsored by the Oregon-California Trails Association and is intended for discussions of the history of the 19th century westward emigrant trails as well as current issues regarding their preservation. While the list is open to all, membership in the Oregon-California Trails Association is highly encouraged. Issues related to and announcements from OCTA are discussed on the list. While we recognize that many people come to an interest in the trails through their interest in family history, this list is not primarily intended for genealogical discussions. Limited genealogical inquiries and/or discussions, though, are acceptable.
