Description

This is a "cross-reference" site for discussion groups that are aimed at members who can act as adults, regardless of their ages. This includes "YahooGroups over 30/35/40" as well as similar adult groups and mailing lists "living" at other hosts.

This group is intended to be a place where the members of every discussion group that is "aimed" at people who "act as adults" can interact and share their experiences, while possibly learning about new groups at the same time. There are various "flavors" of "over 30" groups, and all of them can be discussed in this "no moderation/no rules" group.

Although unmoderated, certain features of the group are "limited" to "moderators/Group Janitors," and some are turned off completely. Members can post messages and can read anything that is "turned on," but cannot add files, links, or databases. Chat, photos, and the calendar are turned off, though I'll consider sound reasons for turning them back on and may actually do so.

Every "group owner/moderator" or "list owner/manager" who joins this group will be made an "Assistant Group Janitor (AGJ)" of this group. This group could have been started by any of you, and I'm not sure why it wasn't. Here it is, regardless.

I have started this group, but I won't moderate it, and I hope that none of the rest of you who are granted "moderator/AGJ" status will try to be "moderators," even though you may have a different philosophy about groups like this. I'm not surpressing your abilities to take a different path here, but I hope that none of you will select that option.

My only request is that you leave this group without moderation and without rules.

Dan

The strike was voted on favorably by about 4400 of the 12,000 members of the guild - about a third. Two-thirds of the guild did not vote. Because it is by

Re: Update on Writers Strike
Is the strike mostly supported by the poorer writers, or the ones making 100K or more a year? And yes it matters. Myra Lea <mygranny@...> wrote:
