Out of the Boat Adventures is a Christian Adventure program of the Grants Pass Family YMCA.

We offer a wide variety of outdoor adventure programs with an emphasis on experiential education

The mission of Out of the Boat Adventures:
To Facilitate adventure activities through which the Truth of God’s Word is experienced, understood, and applied.

Core Values:
Evangelism- The proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ to all who have not heard.
Discipleship- Direct involvement in the lives of Christians. Facilitating the growth of thier relationship with Jesus Christ.
Stewardship- Our responsibility to take care of all, that God has given us.
Challenge- Any activity or setting that puts the participants out of thier comfort zones. It is through challenge that we are able to understand and apply truth to our lives.
Truth- The Truth found in God's Word the Bible is applicable to our lives. We are responsible to present the truth and speak it always with love and respect.

Goals:
To offer Christian adventure camping experiences to junior high and high school students.
To use the many outdoor adventure settings available to our region.
To facilitate the adventure so maximum amount of practical learning is accomplished
In a non-threatening experiential education environment.
To be excellent in the scope of programs, leadership, facilitation, safety, and stewardship
