More rain expected to move across Central Alabama today Allyson Rae

. Flash flood watches are in effect for most areas as the ground is quite saturated. A cold front will help push this rain out of our area by late afternoon leaving a much different forecast for the days ahead.

One thing to note is our high temperature today will occur in the morning hours and will fall during the day as the front moves through. High pressure returns tomorrow and Thursday. Expect seasonal temperatures and sunny skies.

A few chances of rain will be in the forecast Friday, mainly for the southern parts of the state as a low pressure system moves along the Gulf Coast. Expect even cooler air to follow for the weekend and into next week.

It is alot quieter here compared to where we are from and I got to admit the cost of living down here is so much more affordable then what we are used to. The hardest thing I have had to get used to is you accent , WOW . LOL So that is about it for now, I am hoping to meet you all and become part of the community even if it is only for 6 months out of a year.

friendly folks in the south in that town.  I grew up there and moved away at age
18 after marrying my high school sweetheart.  He joined the navy and we have
been around the world.  After 25 years, he will be retiring in February.  We
have already sent our household goods to Florida SO we are also living in our
RV.  I actually enjoy RV living.  Enjoy your time in Elba.

Hello everyone, Missy and Jerry Grove moved to Elba in October from Pennsylvania and wants to meet people.

Mr.Meulloye Waine (Chief) Johnston age 80 of Elba, AL departed this life Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Enterprise Health & Rehabilitation Center in Enterprise, AL. Funeral services will be held at Dorcas Baptist Church on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dale Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the Chestnut Grove Troy, AL. Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, November 29, 2009 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Survivors include Daughter-Elizabeth Koon of Elba, AL, Daughter-Hollis Jean Nosler of Vancouver, WA, Daughter-Nancy Boerth of Blacksburg, VA, Son-Marcus Johnston of Warner Robins, GA, Brother-Willard Johnston of Opp, AL, Sister-Druscilla Henley of Jack, AL. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Hayes Funeral Home of Elba, Alabama is serving the Johnston
