A recent question has come to me regarding the children of Asa Fowler

I actually have 15 children listed:
1. Has No Children FOWLER
2. Has No Children John M FOWLER b: Abt 1860
3. Has No Children Richard J FOWLER b: Abt 1866
4. Has No Children Henry Garal FOWLER b: 23 Jul 1866 in Jackson
County, Alabama
5. Has Children James M FOWLER b: Aug 1872 in Alabama
6. Has Children Julia Ann Calduo "Julie" FOWLER b: 25 Aug 1872 in
Jackson County, Alabama
7. Has Children Felix Edward FOWLER b: 7 Sep 1874 in Paint Rock
Valley, Jackson County, Alabama
8. Has No Children Asa Jones FOWLER b: 29 Jan 1877 in Jackson
County, Alabama
9. Has No Children Marina Angeline FOWLER b: 1 May 1879 in Jackson
County, Alabama
10. Has Children Benjamin Johns FOWLER b: 28 Apr 1881 in Jackson
County, Alabama
11. Has Children Monroe Lincoln FOWLER b: 29 Jun 1883 in Jackson
County, Alabama
12. Has Children Ginsy Wise (Jincy) FOWLER b: 10 Mar 1885 in
Ae25-1910, Jackson, Alabama
13. Has Children John Bunion Dixon FOWLER b: 25 Mar 1888 in Jackson
County, Alabama
14. Has No Children Earnest May FOWLER b: 10 May 1891 in Jackson
County, Alabama
15. Has No Children Infant Son FOWLER b: 28 Apr 1893 in Jackson
County, Alabama
and lots of notes as to why, one being:
1900 Census said Emaline had 12 children, 9 living. The last two
listed on my records had not been born yet so they could not count in
this total. That only left 11 I had listed for her up to this point,
so I added 1 unknown gender. Therefore, since we have HG, Felix,
Marina, Ben, M L, Jincy, John B...and James in a different houshold
all living at this time....my belief is 3 out of the 4....SA, Julie,
Asa and unknown had died before 1900.
Lola asks:
>> >I was looking at your roots site, and Deborah Emaline Lee. She
>>was born in 1848 and married in 1873, but you have children
>>attributed to her in the 1860,s. Are you sure that information is
right? You have 6 children before her marriage date.
>My gut feeling is that 1870 census, that is not our Deborah Emaline
>there. I can't make out the first name so I am not sure if it is
>Deborah or not. But her age is listed as 30, and show her being born
>in 1848 which would have made her 22. Also you would think if she
>and Asa were a couple their names would be together and there is a
>child in between them.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks,
Jennifer

Good morning, everyone,
I have looked at a transcription for the Collins and Rouse Cemetery in
Jackson County, Alabama and added as many of them to FindAGrave.com as
I could (and included some information on my closest relatives, etc.)
This is a nice free site where you can post a memorial, leave a bio,
birth and death dates along with leaving flowers and a note. Check
out the site when you have a moment. You can search by name..but you
can also search by cemetery and it will give you everyone listed in
that particular cemetery that has been posted on the site thus far.
My name is Mark Keahey and I currently reside in Haines City, FL. My
father, Darwin was from Clio, Alabama. His father was James Keahey and
his mother was Eliza Keahey. I have some information, I will be happy
to share.
Mark Keahey
My grandfather was Darwin W. Keahey from No. Cal; born in Texas. James might have been one of his brothers or a cousin. Doc

John Thomas Martin was born 1865 in Mississippi. His mother was Tanzy
Harris Martin and father was Thomas P. Martin. This has not been
completely proven but everything points to it.
John Thomas Martin married Georgia Ann King whose parents were Jeptha
King and Caroline Erwin.
John Thomas Martin died in 1934 in Smith County Texas.
Would be interested in any information.
Thank you

Keahey Shaver, passed away yesterday in his home in Huntsville,
Alabama. He ws 98 years old. He will be truly missed by everyone in
this family.
For those who don't know me, my name is Mark Keahey. I am the son of
Darwin and Judy Keahey. If these names still don't ring a bell,
please continue reading anyway.
I am attempting to put together a 200+ page family book. If you are
receiving this letter, you are either a family member, close enough
to be family, or a really good friend. This book will include a
record of all addresses for family members. It will also include
additional contact information. Some family last names include:
Keahey, Hulick, Cook, Hadley.
My fathers side of the family have a history in the Clio, AL area.
Parts of the family then moved to Dade City, FL.
My mothers side of the family is from the Mercer County, NJ area.
What I am asking is any contact information you have for yourself
and/or someone who I need to include. I also would love birthdays,
anniversaries, obituaries, etc.
I am also looking for any stories, humor, recipes, newspaper
clippings, family facts, photos etc.
If you are a close friend of any family member please include a story
of yourself and this family member.
Please forward this along to family and friends. The more
involvement, the more enjoyable this book will be.
When this project is complete, I will let everyone know.

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the group. I see there hasn't been much activity since
April, but I'm hoping some of you are still monitoring. I'm looking
for information on Walker William Matthews (Mathis/Mathus) of Matthews
Cove, Jackson County AL. Particularly, I'm looking for his origins.
Per census data, he was born in GA in 1789 and moved to AL in the early
1800's. I'd appreciate any information you can provide.
Also, I'm looking for any information about Garners or Stewarts who
came from Stevenson, AL or that general area (Samuel Dudley Garner b.
1900, and Abbie Jane Stewart b. 1906).
Thanks!
Matt Garner

I don't think it is the same one I have. But you never know I don't have much on
him.
I am trying to locate some information on the family of John Henry Tipton and Elizabeth Catherine Harris and their children. My mother was the daughter of one off their children James Jackson Tipton who married Venie Bell Lambert. Venie Bell's sister Mary Montgomery Lambert married William Albert Tipton. My Tiptons moved to Texas when my mother was about 11 and settled in the Sabinal-Uvalde area of Texas. There are quite a few of James Jackson's brothers and sisters I do not have much information on. My mother passed away in March 19, 2001 at age 88. Her name was Alma Louella Tipton who was born in January 11, 1913 in the Charleston-Mansfield area of Arkansas. She was the last of the 11 children. Any assistance you can give me will be
appreciated.
I have had a time finding my way around this web site and I believe Ancestry is making some changes which has probably affected it. I have a lot of my family tree information on WilmaWhite212 there.
Hi all...
I am researching my Goodman family in Alabama. I have them coming from Monroe
County, Houston County and Coosa County. I am stuck on an individual by the name
of Chap Goodman. He was born in about 1879 and married a woman named Mary Amanda
(Mandy) Louise Huggins in about 1903. He would have died before 1930. My
grandfather never met him, so I cannot get any information on him. I have no
idea where my last name comes from! Its so frustrating. Thanks for any help
y'all can give me.
Erika Goodman
Going through my records the only connection I see is to a daughter of a William Goodwin (1865- ). She married a nephew of my grteat-great-grandmother, Hester Brindley Casey. On all the trees showing William, there is only the one daughter. I'll keep looking on that line, though, and see what comes up.

Still seeking information regarding Jessie MATTHEWS, born 1867-1870 in Alexander
City, Tallapoosa, AL. Died 19 Nov 1920 in Ozark, Dale Co, AL. I have information
on her (second) marriage to A.D. WALL, but nothing except a date (18 Aug 1889)
and place (Coosa County, AL) for her first marriage to J.S. LOGAN. Only child of
the first marriage was Clyde Sydney Logan.
My dead ends include
1. Jessie's parents. Jessie had a younger sister named Mary L. MATTHEWS, b. July
1887.
2. Information about J.S. Logan. One source says he was born in Lexington, KY.
Thanks,
Kathy
