Welcome to the Orpington Bus Group!!

**We celebrated our 1st anniversary of the group, earlier this year, and in June the group reached a record number of posts (317), please feel free to contribute to this interesting bus enthusiast group**.

This Yahoo group is for information, questions and answers on the ever changing London bus scene. Particularly focused on the Orpington locality, the south eastern most town of the London suburbia.

Bus routes, fleet, bus companies, this group is for discussion of Orpington's bus services. Currently routes serving the town centre are; 51, 61, 208, 353, 358, 477, 654, B14, N47, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R11. However over the years the Orpington network has been 'chopped' and changed with other route numbers.

Information about any bus route and vehicles in South East London is also welcomed, such as nearby towns of Bromley, Sidcup, Eltham etc.

I encourage rare workings and sightings of unusual buses to be posted.

Not forgetting bus history, if any member would like to start a topic regarding the days of former operators, for example Roundabout, Selkent, London&Country, Kentish Bus, Crystals, and Tellings Golden Miller which are now in 'days gone' of 'old' Orpington.
