About Us:
This is the oldest internet forum for the discussion of traditional African religion. Our members practice a variety of African systems and hail from a variety of traditional lineages. Vodoun, Haitian Voodoo, Orisa, and Akan to name just a few. Our members are priests, devotees, and sincere students of the indigenous faiths of Africa. The Ideal List member is someone that enjoys spiritual dialogue, appreciates different opinions, respects elders and recognizes the validity of African forms of worship.

Joining the Orisa Mailing List
Membership is open, but is subject to approval. We reserve the right to reject any request for membership without explanation. Pending members (who didn't sent the requested information) will be delected after 14 days by the Yahoo groups system. So,to become a member of this forum you must email to the following address: Orisalist-owner@yahoogroups.com
including the following information:
1. Your Full Name (your personal name will not be shared with the group, if you specify you do not want it public).
2.Your Spiritual Name (if your tradition allows you to use it publicly). If you do not have a spiritual name, please use the name you use online.
3.Your Religious/Spiritual path (Orisa, Vodoun, Inkice, Akan, etc)
4.Your Tradition (Traditional-Nigeria, Lukumi-Afro-Cuban, Candomble-Brazilian, Haitian, etc).
5.If initiated, to what deity, what year, by whom and what level of initiation.
6.What state and country you live.
7.If you are new to traditional African religion, please state so.
