I put them in the Links section Peter. Its
strange, coz when I login, they show, but when I don't
login and just view the pages, they don't appear
either.

Perhaps Graham may be able to answer why they don't
appear. Any help please Graham ?

TIA
I didn't look on Graham's site Peter ;-)

Will have another
look.

As for OM45108, we will be bringing some to Showbus on
Saturday.

John
Hong Kong Buses
I received my Buses Model Company versions of
China Motor Bus LM9 and LM10 yesterday from Sindy and
Joe at JOTUS. A nice casting with good interior
detail, particularly on the lower deck ceiling and with
decent handrails. Seating layout looks as I remember the
class on earlier visits to Hong Kong.

No
manufacturer ever seems to get the Alexander domes on the
various types quite spot on but this is a fair
representation. The model has a good solid feel about it and is
not let down by big chrome poles clamping it
together. Go Buy!!

As an aside, I have not yet
received my parcel from the Collector's Model Club but
inevitably, mail will take longer to reach this far north. I
live in hope of the Parcel Force man
today!

Regards

Donald
Great idea, an exellant addition to your main site.
Re EFE subscriber models,
would be useful if it is the KMB Super Olympian as I need a couple of cheap ones
for repainting.

David Rowe
To me, the photos look identical to those on
Graham's website, courtesy of Jotus Model
Depot.

However, I'm very interested in the 9.7m Metrobus
(OM45108) which hasn't yet arrived over here, has it?. I'm
very much looking forward to its arrival as it's the
first 1/76 scale Corgi model of the KMB 9.7m M class,
with fleet number M80. I bought the 1/64 scale Corgi,
model number C.91706, fleet number M51, in
1999.

Peter
Have added a link to the MBF website here, but my
browser shows the link to the right of the Hong Kong
Buses link and when I click on the MBF link, it shows
the Profile for Sooperbus.

Just wondered if
other visitors to this Group were experiencing the same
or if they could see the link at all ?
Hi Graham
I also received my Nikon Dragon
today and NO CERTIFICATE. A nice model and
mine HAS
got a front number plate
See you at Showbus and
wish you every success with this Club
Terry

If it does turn out that the two models to be
made available to Subscribers through EFE have already
been acquired by interested collectors through the
dealer network, then EFE will need to remember this when
keeping us in the dark for so long. This is a subject
we've gone into some time ago in another place, but
it's worth re-iterating it here as we approach
Showbus, don't you think?

Peter
I have had no firm news on the proposed EFE
subscriber models, but a couple of suggestions were the KMB
"Roadshow" Super Olympian and MBE's China Paint
Dragon.

I would go along with the Roadshow model, but also
have a feeling about the two new Buses Model
Olympians.

I shall be at Showbus on Sunday, assisting Sindy &
Joe of Jotus.

A change of subject, I received
my Nikon Dragon today from the C'sM Club, and it has
no LE certificate. It also differs from the photo on
my site in as much as it carries no front
registration number. Apart from that, a nice model. Is anyone
else missing the Cert, or is it just
me?!?

Graham
Who's going to start the ball rolling,
then?

Well, here goes.

Graham, did you get any
response to your plea on your website on the 3rd September
for information about the two HK models that should
appear in the next edition of the EFE Subscribers
Newsletter?

Those members going to Showbus, please keep you ears
open for Chinese whispers!

My own guess is
Drumwell's Super Olympians, KMB, "3000th Alexander", and
"Roadshow".

Peter
Just a message to wish you Good Luck Graham with
this extension to your Oriental Model Buses
Website.

Hopefully this will be a place where collector's and all
those associated with the promotion of all Oriental
Model Buses will be able to share their interest and
exchange information freely without it being devoted
solely to one or two dealers.

Good
Luck.

John Ryan
Hong Kong

Thanks for all your kind messages.

The
idea of some sort of forum for my own site has long
been in my mind, similar to that on the Model Buses
site, however, with my ISP, I do not have this
facility. I am also not prepared to spend alot of money to
resolve this (no I am not Scottish!!).

Being a
fairly newcomer to the Yahoo Clubs idea, Peter's
question in the Diecast Buses club got me looking into how
to set up a Club, and here we are! (Thanks
Peter)

I propose trialling it for a while, just to see how
things go, reviewing it at the end of the year.

I
hope that it gives those of us with this specific
interest an opportunity to discuss news, info, etc.,
within a group who all share this same "obsession" for
model Hong Kong buses.

Let's see how it
goes,

Graham
Graham

Many thanks for taking on the role
of leading this new club, and I hope that it's a
great success. It will complement your own website,
which is one of the best of its kind I have
seen.

Was it, I wonder, just a coincidence that I raised
the question of just this sort of club in the Diecast
Buses Club?

I realise that there is always the
danger of duplicating issues in these clubs covering the
same general issues, but, as you say, you need to give
it a go on a trial basis, to see whether it will
work as you'd hoped. It is clear that many people are
members of several of these Clubs/Groups, and, indeed I
had wondered if I ought to post my question on the UK
Model Bus Forum as well, as I've never quite been sure
what the significance of 'UK' was, in that Group. Your
move should now help to focus attention, especially if
a member collects only Hong Kong bus models. It
will be interesting to see how many members of this
Club spend their time repainting original issues to
make Code 3 models, which I certainly would not want
to get into.

Anyway, well done.

Peter
HI Graham - Congratulations and all the very best
in this new venture. No doubt the more dedicated
Hong Kong enthusiasts will ensure that this is a great
success, and hopefully welcome some new
"converts"!

Good Luck.

Donald
Hi Graham

I would like to wish you all the
very best and success in this club and your
website.

I also look forward to receiving news of Hong Kong
model buses here.

Regards

Eric
Hi Graham

I would just like to wish you all the very best with this new
venture. As you know I am agreat fan of your web
site.

Regards

Gerry Brown
Diecast Buses Yahoo Club
