Description

Here you can discuss about exotic gardening in those parts of the world where plants like palmtrees and bananas don't grow in nature.

At the last sunday of august we always have 'International Open Exotic Gardens' in order to promote exotic gardening to our neighbours and relatives. Our gardens are then open to the public. On August 28, 2005, more than 30 gardens in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxemburg and Austria will take part of this.

Join this group to share your experiences about cold hardy palmtrees, bananas and other 'jungleplants' in moderate temperature zones with other members of this group.

to join this group you can also send a mail to openexoticgardens-subscribe@yahoogroups.com .

Re: New Member
Nice to meet you. I am in southern England near Gatwick Airport. I would like to grow a hardy banana (Musa Basjoo) and a Trachycarpus Fortunei, amongst others.
