This is an international version of IST Petitioners Association ("Ai Esu Ti Segan no Kai") found in FreeML service. We, the members, all are the founders of this organization. You become the part of the decision body! IST International is an organization raising awareness of the needs for multiple citizenship in Japan and related issues. We are trying to challenge Japanese Government to consider multiple citizenship for foreign adults who live in Japan, Japanese Nationals abroad and children with multiple citizenship between Japan and other nations after coming of age as a medium to secure their safety and rights. We are politically involved in this process to submit petitions to the government, talk with sympathetic politicians, contacting news media, etc. We encourage our members to exchange opinions, thoughts, concerns, joy and/or questions in regards to this issue in a friendly manner. The discussions extends to war, loyalty & nationality, addendum in Jyuumin Hyo, Japanese minority issues, voting rights for foreigners in Japan, multicultiralism, etc. The original e-mail group was conducted in Japanese, however we anticipate that there must be foreign nationals who may want to get involved with us. We have selected English as a primary international language to accommodate them better although it is not the only one. And if you wish to use other languages, we will try corresponding in the languages you chose as much as we are capable to deal with.
