Miss Tacoma Junior Teen America 2005 & 2006, Breanna Regan, is using her crown as a microphone in the ongoing fight to stop drinking and driving. Breanna's friend, lost her dad to a drunk driver on February 3, 2005. What a terrible way to lose a loved one. The accident could have been totally prevented had the driver not gotten back into his truck. Breanna will be working with with the Pierce County DUI Task Force, Victims Panel and MADD to help make teenagers more conscience of their actions. Breanna and her family are victims as well, being that Breanna was paralyzed at the age of three due to a severe car crash caused by a negligent driver on a Washington State Highway. The woman had been arrested several times before for DUI's. When is enough, enough?

Thank you to Betty Conant, Tacoma/Pierce County DUI Task Force and Victims Panel Coordinator/Director for nominating me for the Good Samaritan of The Year. Thank you Gloria Averill, the Tacoma/Pierce County DUI Task Force and Victims Panel, and the Washington State Patrol for awarding me on December 17, 2005 the Good Samaritan of the Year Award 2005. It was an honor that me, my family, and Jr. Teen Program Director, Diane Schmidt, were in attendance and will never forget. The Night of a Thousand Stars dinner and awards banquet was wonderful and tasty! The candlelight vigil held at the end of the ceremony was memorable beyond belief. I will never forget the sound of the bell that was "gonged" for each victim of a DUI. It was very touching. Thank you again!
