Bhagavan Krishna also clarifies in the Geeta, that the man is only an instrument through whom the action is carried out.
Nevertheless, the man has the freedom how the action is carried out.
Even though, the outcome of such an action is predetermined, “inaction” by the man is not an option.
The man has to act according to his “Dharma and Duty” appropriate to the circumstance.

Subject: [omgod] Five contributory causes for an action
Bhagavan Shri Krishna Himself says:
There ar five contributory causes for an action.
So if a man regards himself as the sole cause he is a fool of the first order.
