The Omega Pelta Kappa fraternity was founded on September 8, 1965 by seven college students at the University of the Visayas (UV) in Cebu City. Right after the declaration of Martial Law in 1972 the organization had a lull when student organizations were banned and vigorously monitored in schools and universities. Despite this situation, the original members secretly continued their recruitment efforts and were able to expand. In 1976 the Sorority was established at the then Cebu Central Colleges (CCC) now known as the University of Cebu (UC). It was in the later part of the ‘70s when the organization reached its height and was able to establish several chapters not only in Cebu but also in the different parts of the Visayas and Mindanao.

Today, the organization is still very active in several schools and universities and already had countless honorary members not only here in the Philippines but in other parts of the world as well. It is in this context that this e-group is being established to cater to members who have access to the internet in order for us to re-acquaint with one another, learn news about each other and know the organizational activities being planned and set-up by the present set of officers of our organization.
