Old Scouts are united in the view that the Scout Motto, Oath, and Law are the basis for a continuing way of life, as well as imperatives for adult choices and actions. All that is necessary to become a member is the genuine desire and commitment to do so. Participants of all races, religions, nationalities, colors, genders, and ethnic backgrounds are welcome.

Activities of local chapters tend to focus on: (1) Self-Reliant and Sustainable Life Styles, (2) Outdoor Adventure Sports, (3) Community Service, and (4) Family and Neighborhood Civil Preparedness.
