Hi Tom,
I did a web search this morning for
some sites and found that a lot mentioned the
copyright problem and were not open.
Can you email me
some sites that you
use?

Thanks..

Pat
Definitely worth it
I check in every day or two.
I hope to contrbute more
as I learn more.
Am reding Idiot's Guide to MP3. LOL
maybe should think
abt broadening the scope.
Hi Mike,
Nice website, I added a link to it in
the "links" section. Definitely a worthwhile project
as Gildy was, in my opinion, the best in
OTR.

I'll also check my tape collection to see if I have
any of the missing episodes.

Patrick
Hi Tom-
Well, volumes 1 and 2 are available
now. I have some other committments that preclude me
getting back to the Gildys, probably until the first of
the year. _IF_ I can get back to it in January,
volume 3 _May_ be ready by late Feb or early March.
Getting on with this is a high priority item with me, but
for now it's not quite at the top of the list. As
long as I can keep far enough ahead to have fresh
shows on the web site every week I consider my head to
still be above water. :-)
CU later
Mike
I started Wayback a little over a year ago with a
free Tripod site. Okay, so my Tripod experience wasn't
all that great. Still, I've made so many new friends
as a result of operating the site that I'd have to
recommend the experience to anybody who's ever toyed with
the idea of starting their own site.

And with
the Gildersleeve Project, the outpouring of support
has been breath taking. There are an awful lot of
very nice folks out there and operating an otr site is
a great way to meet some of them.
The Gildersleeve Project is great!
I received the first CD of shows a week or
two ago! As a big Gildy fan this was a dream come true.
Long live the
Gildersleeve project!
Thanks. Well, I hope everyone will visit my site
at http://wayback.net and be sure to
check out The
Gildersleeve Project while you're there. I also hope everybody
here is familiar with the WSMF digital otr guide page.
There's a clickable link on the Wayback page for that
too.
Hello Pat!

Sorry it has taken me so long
to reply.

I am a big CBS Radio Mystery
Theater fan from way back. I also enjoy Gildersleeve,
Benny, The Shadow, and Fibber. I love collecting via
MP3, and am always looking to trade.

Tom
Hi Dave,
There was a review of portable MP3
players in the local paper (Hartford Current). It said
that the RIO player's sound wasn't quite up to the
others and the controls were a little harder to use, but
for $50 and old time radio, It's got to be a good
buy. Please let us know how it works for you. I have
only been listening to my OTR here at the
PC.

Patrick
I am about to buy my Rio, mainly for OTR programming.
How is this working for
everyone?
I'll be glad to share experiences. But hope to hearsoon how others
are doing here.
davej
Hi David! Welcome to the club!
I am starting
to collect shows and will transfer them to CD when I
get enough. How many half hour shows can you get on a
CD? I see CDs available with around 100 or so shows
on them. My goal is to get rid of the 300 tapes I
have, as they are taking up too much room.

Have
you heard the Diamond Rio player? I was wondering
about how the sound quality was.

Do you know of
any good download sites?

Thanks, Patrick
I am a long-time huge fan of OTR and just now
getting interested in MP3...
Looked at a Diamond Rio
yesterday. Nice deal with $50 rebate.
I have a CD-R, many
cassettes of OTR.
Have written abt old-time radio for my
newspaper.
