Democrats are handed 20 house seat - only one candidate filed in each District
Republicans were handed 18 seats
Come primary election
Democrats will be handed an additional 4 seats
Republicans handed 6
In other words 48 seats do not have folks that challenge the two major parties.
Guess the good news is that 53 seats will have a contest - that is a tad over 50% of the house seats.
On the Senate side - 24 seats are up for election
18 are contested
4 uncontested
1 Handed to a republican on primary day
1 to a democrat on primary day
What will Election 2008 look like? Will we a higher number of Independents, Libertarians, Green and others in the race? Now is the time to build the party and begin planning for election 2008.
