Welcome to the Okinawa Homeschoolers Yahoo group. This group is open to any homeschooler at any base on Okinawa. You must have at least one child of Kindergarten age or older that you are currently homeschooling in order to be a member of this group. We also welcome any homeschooler who will be arriving to the island within a four month time frame.
This is a supportive group, where you can connect with other homeschooling families, find information on resources available on the island, brainstorm ideas and activities, ask questions, and find encouragement and positive attitudes! We welcome people of all faiths - or none - all political persuasions - or none - and all methods of homeschooling - or none.

We have an extensive collection of links, please feel free to add your own homeschooling links. If you find a link that doesn't work, please email the owner or moderator.

Any member may post messages, add files or links and add photos. In order to keep the links and files areas neat and tidy, we ask that you please place your file or link in the appropriate folder within the area. If you are unsure where to place your item, please email the group owner or moderator. We will help you place it correctly.

If you have an activity or event you would like posted to the calendar please send an e-mail to the group owner or moderator. These events or activities should be educational or family oriented.
